BoP now interrupts while eating his breakfast.

OP purchased a tumble dryer over ten years ago. They were happy. Said tumble dryer worked well, apart from a few minor knocks which were repaired because being good people, they paid for insurance. Last November, tumble dryer died. Kerput. Finito. Said insurer replaced tumble dryer with like for like variant.

New tumble dryer not working properly, so replaced by manufacturer, an upgrade was offered. OPpaid for upgraded tumble dryer. Upgraded tumble dryer failed. Manufacturer now has both replacement and upgraded tumble dryer. OP not happy. OP offered £199 back as upgrade cost and £100 good will.

OP not happy with this. They know their rights, and have told their bank so as well, by using a section 75 refund!

BoP now points out they had 10 years use of original dryer.

    Children could have been affected.

Tigs points out that the OP has paid for an insurance policy that replaces like with like, so duration since original purchase is surely irrelevant. Does the insurance state that they will only replace once, does the insurance policy stop after that point? Has the OP continued to pay that insurance policy?

If there are children involved, they would have been affected by the lack of warm bath towels.
