MacKenzie Hall are notorious for their rudeness - and rightly so. Even in the less-than-illustrious world of the DCA, MH have a particularly bad reputation.
Any correspondence or calls from them are better left ignored - they have no authority, no push and no hold over anyone - and trying to engage with them in any way is pointless.0 -
Thanks for advice.
Have not acknowledged it and to this day have not received any more. I also checked my credit file with equifax experian and callcredit and there is nothing relating to this on any of them.0 -
Hello,
I've received numerous letters with this PO box on the back delivered to my address, however they're aren't for me, but for the previous tenant. I've sent them all back but i keep getting them!. I've done a bit of research and it seems that it could be from the company Mackenzie Hall, although i havn't opened the letters to make sure. It seems these are not very nice people so i'm a bit concerned.
Even though it's nothing to do with you, can they they still send collectors knocking on your door? I live on my own and i don't want this hassle.
Any advice would be very much appreciated!0 -
Very very very unlikely that one will.
Even if they do, then they have no rights. You tell them that it is not you and that they must leave. If they refuse, you call the police.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Hello
I received a tacky piece of cardboard through the psot today with a ver unprofessional message on the back which read:
Dear Mr ...... ......
Please call me on [text removed by MSE Forum Team]
Im in until around 7.30 most evenings.
Scot
Now, whoever sent this has spelt my name wrong to start with. In addition to this the return address on the front of the postcard is:
PO BOX 8743, BELLSHILL, ML4 3WU
Has anyone else received anything like this?
I did a brief search of the address on Google and it came up as a company called Mackenzie Hall, however, i have not received any letters from anyone informing me that i have outstanding debts and this doesn't mention anything about who it is who wants to speak to me or what it is about.
Sounds like Lowell portfollio as its from Bellshill, they are a bunch or !!!!!Raven. :grinheart:grinheart:grinheart0 -
Mackenzie Hall are a bunch of crack heads

I have received a letter today fr po box 8743 bellshill ml4 3wu. I have just read the post and can see it from mh but I don't owe anything I have never had a credit card or a loan or a store card. I don't believe in spending money u have not got. I had a call from 1st credit and they said was to do with a credit card and they said a different address. I told them I don't know what they were talking about (which I didn't) they said sorry and I thought that was it. But now I have a letter from mh. I don't know what to do for the best can anyone help me.

When I spoke to McKenzie hall they told me that I took out a Kay's catalogue and the debt was from 1990.
I told them it was statue barred and I wasn't paying it but McKenzie hall deal with really old debts and are the bottom feeders of the debt collection industry.
I would ignore the letters if you don't have anything on your credit fileI'm not poor i'm just skint0 -
I constantly get letters from these people addressed to my sister-in-law who has never lived here but lives in a different part of the city.
She has a bad debt history going back years and I assume they are trying our address because we are in a more affluent area and have no adverse data - more chance of them getting paid - in their dreams:rotfl:
I send them all back " not at this address" - they stop for a while then they restart.
Really annoying but not a potential problem for us until we move on and the next occupant presumes they relate to me.0
