I've recently received a parking eye ticket , I've been parking at tesco for years and didn't have a clue what parking eye was or how it worked. I was an hour over the time limit. Should I pay it? Ignore it, will it go away, I've read as its not a council, or police issued ticket it's not legally binding? (Is that nonsense) or should I try sending the above letter as another customer has done. Help

Who precisely is the ticket from? Highview are the preferred supplier parking company for Tesco, not ParkingEye.

    Pay it? No!

    Ignore it? No!

    Will it go away? No!

    Is it legally binding? Possibly!

    What should you do?

    1. Read the newbies FAQ sticky, which will guide you through this.
    2. Start a new thread of your own please if you need further help after reading the sticky - thoroughly. This thread belongs to another poster, and is, in any case, now almost 6 months old. The world of private parking evolves too rapidly to be reading/getting involved as a new poster in threads this old.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Where have you gone? This is dead easy to appeal if this is Highview. Or phone up Tesco Dundee and they will cancel it for you if it is Highview.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
