Virgin

I'm moving to a new build house this Friday and I contacted Virgin last week to start the ball rolling to get it installed as the street is cabled and both neighbors are already in their house and have Virgin. Does anybody know roughly how long it takes virgin to complete their investigations so I know roughly when we can have it installed?

Thanks in advance

I'm surprised any "investigation" is required at all.

If the neighbours aleady have Cable installed then call centre staff should have that information in front of them now and so be able to arrange installation.

have you tried an online order (for testing purposes) by giving the address/post code but as a new customer

  • Yes tried online order it said not available so used next doors address and it said already with Virgin. I'll give them another call today to chase up.

    6 weeks plus?

The fact that your address isn't on their records is not good news.

They may even want you to pay them some money to install.
  • Spoke to new build team, hopefully should be able to arrange installation tomorrow and get a free no obligation 3 month trial as well. Only downside is looking like 10 days to wait for an engineer to install.
