Try soaking it with some detergent in it I do that with over baked oven trays My DD has a glazed one that she uses for roast spuds and it always seems to get a rim of crusty crispy bit round it I have put hot water and some ordinary washing powder in it for a couple of hours and its easier to remove the baked on bits

Thanks all, glad to know someone's watching!

Today I managed two things, sorted out the office and made some time for me!

I know I'm posting very much later than normal, but after, or technically, just before, finishing the sort out of the office, I got a call to go snow chasing! (We never get snow here, too close to the sea). If you'd like to read a little tale of our wonderful day sledging in Yorkshire, please go to the 'Snow Watch' thread in the MoneySavers' Arms, it was absolutely great, topped off with a wonderful meal with good friends. So, I didn't eat that sad meal-for-one I got out of the freezer! But I must, along with the high quality mince, the chicken, and everything else. But I think I'm on track...

Really getting into my stride on this list, another one down today. I've cleaned my car inside. The outside is appalling from our travels in the snow and mud yesterday, but that's what a 4wd drive is supposed to do, even an old one like mine, so I'm not bothered by that.

I swear I could make another dog from the amount of fur two Labradors and my mongrel left behind in there. All gone...:T

Lol, Lyn, I found I could just lift the Dyson into the cargo area and hoover away! Nevertheless, still a few strays (hairs, not dogs!) on the back seats when I folded them back, but the Dyson's brilliant. Also "wiping over" with a hand clad in a rubber glove helps to get all the hairs together to suck up.

Thanks for all your support. My next plan is a really big chilli after my new slow cooker is delivered (should be today).

    Cheers, folks!

The new slow cooker has arrived! Just need a tin of kidneys for the chilli, I've got a pound, no, excuse me, 500gms, of quality minced beef out of the freezer. Was tempted to double the recipe, but need to know the thing will work first.

Onions from the garden, garlic too, tomatoes from the pantry as is the chilli seasoning (no more chillis in the fridge or freezer).

Have been reminding my boss several times each time he comes in the office that I'm OFF WORK ON MONDAY AND TUESDAY NEXT. (Capitals intended.)

    Planning to attack that library...

Edited to add: I note I have stewed homegrown tomatoes in the fridge, will liberate them and use them instead of any water in the chilli...
