Hi All
I am wanting to send a postal order/statutory fee for £1 to my bank to obtain a copy of the agreement they are supposed to have for me in relation to a defaulted account.
Does anyone firstly know what the address is for the Data Exceptions Team at Barclays? I have spoken to the Barclays online web chat and can only assume they are located abroad as they do not seem to understand what I am asking for / about the postal order & just keep repeating the same answers which isn't much help.
Also with the postal order, do I just make it out to Barclays Bank Plc?
Thanks

You can use the main customer service address for whatever part of Barclays this is, and likewise the same payment name to be made out to.
CCA request fee is £1.
Subject Access Request (SAR) under DPA is up to £10.
If you are looking to dispute a default, CCA request will not 'prove' anything one way or another. SAR would be a better bet depending on nature of the dispute, but may only produce account notes rather than an copy notices, as that is all they are obliged to keep.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
