Why would you stop charging your son rent? That decision is unrelated to the benefits your wife recieves. Surely without him you'd have 2 spare rooms?
Does your wife need a room for equipment or an overnight carer?0 -
hi
the rent he pays goes to the housing association
not to us
thank you0 -
his portion of the rent should stop because there is no non dependant deduction when the tenant/tenants partner receives any rate of PIP care.
the bedroom tax will still apply unless you can prove you need the extra room for an overnight carer or bulky equipment0
