Good Vacuum cleaner for small flat?

Thinking about a Henry, but seems bit bulky for a small flat (regarding storage). Do have a garage 40 metres up the hill worth just storing it there or getting a smaller one, any recommendations? Will use it to clean car as well!

Yeah, a decent cordless would work great in a small house/flat.
  • These cordless ones any good for wood dust etc Should I just get a Henry or Henrietta?

I've had a Henry for over 5 years and I've heard of people having theirs for over 20 years. Professional cleaners use them and shops and businesses and they suck up anything (dog sick for example!). Previous to this I had bagless vaccumns which lasted bareley 12 months and needed emptying every 10 minutes and where always getting blocked, no loss of suction my backside!

So if you can find a corner or cupboard to store it then a Henry is the best value vaccumn you can get... The bags are very cheap on Amazon and in a small flat you might go months on one bag.

Henry's are great but they do take up space - in a small flat I'd go for a cordless.

How much wood dust?. I bought a Henry partly because of regularly using power tools to make furniture in my flat. It works well and often gets used connected directly as a dust extractor. They're wider than most cylinder cleaners but no taller. Whether they fit your storage is up to you to work out.
  • If you buy a Henry make sure it is a commercial one as the motors last longer and they are more robust

Not so good for car cleaning.

  • How about the smaller Henrys- Henriettas? Are they as good? I have a garage 40 metres up road- just put hoover in there?

The standard Henry?. Mines 12 years old and works like new.
