I'm looking to replace my existing Tronic rechargeables, because Tronic are chronic :).
For the AAs, I need at least 8 of the highest capacity, maybe more if they are significantly cheaper. First site I looked at was https://www.7dayshop.com/rechargeable-aa-batteries/filter/only-delivery-inclusive but choosing the delivery-inclusive filter, a 4 pack was an attractive £5.29 including delivery. Went to see how much cheaper each battery would get with a larger order and was dismayed to find that the 8-pack of identical batteries was £11.99, also with delivery. Do they really want me to order them 4 at a time?

The issue i find with high capacity AA's they can be a little fatter than standard batteries or rechargeables upto 2200mAh.

Most items are OK, but you get the odd one where the cover is too tight or they are a nightmare to remove.

How many of those people that left feedback can actually test the true capacity of the batteries?

I've got the 7dayshop 2900mah AA batteries and a "Pro" charger that tests the capacity. I can confirm they are almost exactly 2900mah.
Very good value for money. Lasts even longer than Duracell 2500mah (as you would hope but not necessarily expect for own brand stuff).:T

I looked for opinions on AA/AAA rechargeables recently, and a lot of people said Enerloop batteries were pretty good. I bought some and they last longer than suposedly-higher capacity Sony cells.

In the last Which? test the 7Dayshop AA2900 didn't do too well, coming sixteen out of the 18 on test, being marked down on actual capacity achieved and charge retention.

The best on test were Duracell Rechargeable Ultra, Panasononic Eneloop Pro and Ansmann Max e, albeit at around twice the price of the 7Dayshop batteries.

I have all sizes of rechargeables from 7 dayshop along with their pro charger and cannot fault them, they hold the charge well and to date have never had any problems with then.
For the price v quality IMO they are one of the best

No, they want you to order 8 because they make more money, but as you are on MSE I presume you will ignore this and buy 2 x 4-packs. If you've never seen such pricing inconsistencies when supermarket shopping you've lived a very sheltered life.

I'm with Which? on this one. I've used 7DayShop for years and used to buy their NiMh batteries for use in flash guns and other fairly demanding applications. I gave up due to poor lifespan and rapidly reducing capacities. These days I stick the with brands (Energizer from choice) and find them a far better long term bet.

I too had a bad experience with7dayshop batteries. I would advice not looking for highest capacity but low self discharge types like eneloop, Turnigy and the green Tronic ones from Lidl which J find quite good.

I'm surprised about the negative reviews for the 7dayshop batteries. I've been using them for years, heavily using them and recharging every day. Perhaps that's the difference, I use them for 12hrs then immediately recharge them, so self-discharge isn't an issue for me. They only need replacing about every 12 months, which is the same with Duracell etc under heavy use.
