Hester excuse my language but that LL sounds a complete !!!!!! - if the house has been on the market for two years he clearly has been too stubborn to lower the price to make a sale and is now willing to loose six months of guaranteed income just in case it now sells. Tbh it sounds like your DD is best out of the situation.
  • Good Morning all and <<hugs for those who are feeling more than a bit miffed about life at the moment >>

I managed to get my shopping yesterday for just over £15.00 which I was pleased about so no more shopping for at least a week now as I have stocked up on the necessary things.
My courtesy car from the garage is a Seat Alhambra and is huge like a minibus :):):) Because I have a seven seater it was the only one they could find for me :)Still it beats walking with mu achy old bones:) I have got it for around a week I think until my own car is repaired Good job the insurance is paying for it :0

DGS Ben phoned yesterday for a natter and is is thinking of going on Camp America next summer with his pal so he was full of plans and quite excited. As he is 21 this Christmas I have said I will fund half of the £750.00 he has to find for his trip He is such a good hard working boy and I am so proud of him No matter how broke he is he never complains ,just gets on with life .He has a part-time job in Norwich that he does on Thursday and Saturday nights so his social life is a bit limited ,plus all his grant goes towards keeping himself. His first serious love of his life dumped him just before Christmas and he had a rotten time but he has moved on and is now going out with a young french art student from Uni who like him is also pretty broke but they seem happy enough and he says he is keeping things 'cool'
Eldest DD is due back from New York this morning,no doubt laden down with shopping :):):)I shall see her tomorrow morning as she likes her pot of coffee and scrambled eggs on a Sunday morning.
Just pottering around today as its looking a bit nippy out there
Have a good day chums what ever you are doing
  • Morning All

    Hope it's good news Judi.
Glad you are on the mend Lainey.
HH - I think your DD is better off out of that, as you say the LL could turn round in a couple of months and put them out.

Just rain here, it was quite windy during the night but has calmed now. Fairly cold too but I've just been for a swim so am presently very warm!

Off to DDs when I've had a shower to finish painting her living room, I may stay there tonight if we don't get it finished today.

Washing up to date, DW emptied, the bathrooms were cleaned last night, everywhere dusted and hoovered so nothing much else to do here.

I sorted out my stereo system yesterday, was going to put it on
Gumtr££ but I can't find the power cord - Freegle it is then! I treated myself to a Sonos speaker which is fab and no speaker wires all over the place. Gers, that's a gadget for you to get (I got mine in JL, a shop I know you love!).

Have a good weekend everyone. Take care. XX

Another vote here for the Sonos system, they come into the house as part of DOH's dowry and I was dubious at first but now love, love it, especially as he spent hours putting my Cd's on it and I can have them playing all over the house :T
  • Afternoon......((((((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))))))) if you need one.

Hester, I am afraid I would also be doing a finger exercise to that LL, they are better off out of it.

Late getting up again this morning, I am defo going to see my GP next week, there is something going on, I am feeling like I was before I got the pacemaker in. although my heart beat seems to be ok. I have a feeling I may be told to loose weight, which for me is not easy, but we will see.

We have done the Friday clean between us so everything is up to date. Fire is laid, will light it when OH get up after his siesta. I need to cut some fabric for the quilt group meeting this week. demo of how to trace a pattern onto fabric without using those awful wax pencils they use on clothes.

After a reasonable good week, it is now raining again..... hum ho....

    You're not helping! :rotfl:

Browsed Sonos - lots of choice. We have an old Squeezebox Boom in the living room and it's connected to the network by Ethernet cable. I'd like something upstairs - indulgent or what?

Csarina - going to the docs is the best option, it's better than worrying about things.

It's still foul out there. I've lit the fire for the first time in ages as I tend to put on another jumper instead these days. Now I'm toasty again.

Postman has just been so no more visitors expected so I can hunker down under a blanket and read.
  • I just had to Google Sonos to see what I was missing! I have decided it's something we can live without for now!

I braved the elements and ventured into town this morning. Straight down and back in this weather! Just Poundland for the bits I wanted and Clintons for a 60th birthday card for SIL. Got a gorgeous one for silly money but, what the heck, it's a special birthday. Her DD's have planned a surprise party for her at a hotel in Skipton but we are not going. Neither of us can do with noisy celebrations these days. Boring old fa*ts or what!!

CSARINA I echo what Gers has said, definitely make an appt to see your GP if you are worried. JUDI I hope it wasn't bad news re your GINGE. Fingers crossed.

Enjoy the rest of the day folks, take care. It's feet up with my book for me now! xx
