    Hi again,

Well, I managed to find an EE sim card on eBay for 99p who ships to the States for £3.99 so I'm just waiting for that to be received by my daughter and then hopefully once that sim is in place, and I've registered my daughter as a customer online on EE, the unlocking will be a piece of cake.

    Here's hoping!

And thanks again for all your help

    :-)

The fact that the phone isn't connected to the EE network in the UK could be causing an issue

I hate to pee on your parade, but using an EE PAYG SIM to unlock will take ~6 months (unless they have changed their policies).

I have found that EE are rather strict in that regard, in that the SIM must be used with the phone for at least 6 months before they will even entertain the idea of an unlock. I speak from personal experience on this one!

I hate to pee on yours, but they have changed it.
If you’re on pay monthly, you need to have had your contract for six months before you can unlock a device. If you’re on pay as you go or SIM only, you can unlock your phone as soon as you get it, as long as it’s locked to EE, Orange or T-Mobile.
