.....so inept at times with deducting offers from your delivery day invoice.
Looking back a third of orders since Summer 2015 have met this category!
Have to regularly telephone / email to get refunded which goes against having convenience of delivery.
Sometimes get Spanish inquisition if have a Tuesday delivery as online shows Wednesday prices. (have to mention Mysupermarket and most offers end on Tuesday)
Raising at CEO level has made no impact so not sure if they are unwilling or still scratching head!
Retail Ombudsman said that Tesco.com not part of their remit though could look at it if had a final response (which Tesco hasn't done)
Online can be a pain too as sometimes placing items in the basket the higher price remains whether reduced or multi-buy. (and if take the chance it doesn't always come off on delivery day either)
Substitution policy, value range and generally cheaper makes me sway towards Tesco but comes with sting in tail.
Can't believe a big brand allows this carry-on!!!

Agreed.
This week's errors:
Irn bru 2l - 2 for £2. Charged £3.40 (original price (£1.70 x 2)
Reeses nut bars - 3 for 2. Charged £1.80 (60p each x 3)
Every single time. Particularly the irn bru which I don't think has ever gone through properly.
Keep using them as the £12/15 off £60/80 coupons represent a decent % discount. Still annoying though.0 -

Thanks for your reply, at least I know I'm not alone.
When I order catfood multi-buys my invoice can sky-rocket
Just checked my pending card payment & it's 20% + higher for todays delivery. So no valid offers deducted or Brandmatch either:(
They need to be taken to task as I didn't authorise my card for more and my confirmation email clearly states discounts.0 -
I stopped using them because of the substitutes on offers.
Say you pick X, Y and Z on a three for two offer and Z is out of stock. Rather than give you another X or Y or something else from the offer, they give you something not included in the offer so you pay full price for all three products.
So frustrating as you either have the choice of paying more than you wanted to, or sending stuff you wanted back then going to the shop to buy it on offer. Here I go again on my own....0 -

If my post doesn't appear to be serious, then it is not serious. So what? Kick back, relax enjoy life and have a little fun. Life is far far too short to be grumpy!!!!0 -

I was going to post a jokey reply here, but this is actually quite serious. Overcharging on a card is well out of order. I'd suggest just not buying from Tesco, there are other places. I couldn't deal with that, being wrongly charged and it actually going on the card.If my post doesn't appear to be serious, then it is not serious. So what? You have to check when buying items on offer that the offer is still valid on the day of delivery. They always charge the price on the day of delivery not the order, so if the price changes in the meantime you can either accept or reject when they deliver.0

That's really interesting and out of keeping with normal business- the price is always the price at the time of payment. It's sounding worse all the time!!If my post doesn't appear to be serious, then it is not serious. So what? Kick back, relax enjoy life and have a little fun. I always treble check i.e. on day of order, later in week and on delivery day. (write end date on my list and screen-print)
Prices mostly change on Wednesday and sometimes on Monday though the website sometimes updates the day before.
I avoid ordering on / for Wednesday and for Tuesday to circumnavigate their quirky system.0 -

Do you really not know this?!
It's been that was for ages with all the online shopping supermarkets.
So you're not being overcharged, you're not checking your offers0 -

Oh, I never shop online for supermarket stuff. A combo of factors, I don't like supermarkets, I don't have the time/inclination to wait in for delivery, I don't buy more than a meal or two in advance at a time from shops anyway, little and often is my motto! I've never been a fan of supermarket "deals" like 3 for 2 etc. I just buy one item eg packet of quorn. Nice and simple. My parents have a freezer full of the stuff as they always buy 3 for £5.If my post doesn't appear to be serious, then it is not serious. So what? Kick back, relax enjoy life and have a little fun.
