I read one site the other day predicting there would be a headphone jack, but that it would be thinner.

I still have my Apple EarPods from 2013 and find them pretty decent. On my old iPhone 4, I went through about 5 sets of headphones including the set it came with. No doubt if the slimmer connection materialises, quality will nosedive to try and get customers to pay them for replacements.

I am not an Apple fan, quite the opposite, but to be fair, it's a mystery to me why 3.5mm jacks are still being used in mobiles. Some older phones had 2.5mm jacks - and this is what really has to be a standard nowadays, if not something completely new.

Even SD cards and SIMs are now 'micro'.

A old saying comes to mind. 'A bird in the hand is worth more than 2 in the bush.'

Just wait, when you can actually see what you really need, then buy it.

What is it with these Apple types!
