BHS investigate after Milton Keynes store sells top with BHS label glued over Asda's

A couple in Milton Keynes recently found they'd bought a top with a BHS label over the top of an Asda one.

Has anyone else had anything similar happen?

'We wouldn't have paid the same if it was from Asda'

Yup, BHS is right up there in the fashion stakes. Way above George at Asda. What a non story. The couple are ridiculous for thinking their BHS clothes are special and made in a different place to Asda, Sainsburys, Tesco etc
  • I've seen timber on sale at Wickes with a B&Q label. It's no surprise really that many similar retailers source their products from the same suppliers.

The BHS story might have some validity if the clothing was described as an exclusive. Obviously, the customers just want some "compo" for the distress.

They bought it in the sale, have kept the jumper and been given a £30 voucher. It obviously pays to be "shocked" and "cheated".

    From the article:
"We wouldn't have paid the same amount for the product if we bought it in Asda so I feel a bit cheated."

So, if the very same item is available for less in Asda... :money:

I expect they were also suffering anxiety attacks. What if a child had bought this item and worn it!!!

Is it actually available in asda though?

I got the impression from the story that its a BHS range but the supplier got mixed up and applied an asda label before noticing their mistake.

Rather than being an item produced for both retailers.

So basically they where happy to pay the price they paid for it at the time, but mysteriously the quality of the jumper diminished as soon as they saw the George label! 'Shocked and cheated'..what the hell is wrong with some people.

It actually didn't even merit making it into the local newspaper as its not in the Milton Keynes Citizen.
