Not looking for a new one obviously but what makes and models should I look out for? Will probably get one on eBay. I'd like an i3 processor. Just want something reliable, quiet, not too bulky.

That would be a brand new cpu. I'm not looking for a new computer.0 -
you will not find an ex user PC with your spec from a dealer (who can guarantee it) for that price , set your figure closer to £200 + , suggested site (used before) http://www.morgancomputers.co.uk/c/407/Desktop-Tower-PCs-Systems/
note most are running windows xp , if you find one with 7/8 you can upgrade to 10 , most have very low memory , and older (obsolete memory) is expensive now , and most have small hard drives , they were used in offices and linked to central file storage
in fact

Are you looking for just a Base Unit (CPU/MB/HD/Memory etc) or are you looking for a whole PC (Base Unit + Monitor + Keyboard + Mouse)?Changing the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.0
