But I thought it had the Disney Junior and Nick Jr channels as live streaming channels?
Can I record on any of these devices?
If you get a PVR yes but it wont record the Now TV streaming channels.0 -

You can watch some channels LIVE, there's about 12 including the 3 kids channels but not channels like BBC 1, ITV, Channel5.
Theres a fair bit of kids stuff on the NOW TV box like Peppa Pig, Dora etc.
Hope that helps.
No you cant record onto a Now TV box.0 -

I don't know. At the moment, we have a load of Sky boxes in the house, but my brother pays for it all. I'm looking at the alternatives for when he moves out in a couple of months.
It is quite a newish TV I think and is 3D.Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010

Everyone has been very helpful, thank you.
I never knew there were so many choices out there!
Wonder if my kids will be okay with live streaming rather than me recording their fav shows and them watching them over and over.
I like the recordable aspect of BBC1 etc as I just record the programmes and then watch them back. Been ages since I just turn on the TV and just watch what's on the moment, cept for the news in the morning that is.Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010

You can watch some things on demand on Now TV, similar to iPlayer. But some things are live only.
You can see some of the programmes available here http://www.nowtv.com/entertainment/highlights#ib-section-section-70 -
Someone on another thread (sorry, I'm one of those annoying who posted two similar threads) has told me about BT TV which I didn't even know existed.
I don't have to worry about this for a couple of months, but I think I will take this out. There are initial costs, but then it is:-
£17.99 which I already pay
£7.50 for the basic TV package
£3 for the kids channels
So unless I'm missing something, this doesn't sound too expensive (I also pay £3.85 a month for broadband through BT).Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010

As you are with BT already BT TV is a cheap option for you. Prices (as you've posted above) start from £5 a month and include a YouView Freeview HD recorder -
