Sorry didn't know that. How much was the drier and how much have you paid so far?0 -

. The dryer was just over £500 with the 5* star service before finance. it was over 3 years at £7 a week. I think I have paid 64 weeks which is £448 so far
You are paying a ridiculous amount for that drier, I also feel you should give it back and buy from another company that doesn't charge that sort of interest.0 -
I'm sure I heard somewhere that they make you take out a service plan, does the £7 cover this or is it just for the dryer?
To add about going somewhere else. I always thought places like BrightHouse existed because of people who couldn't get credit anywhere else and couldn't afford to buy outright so often have little choice but to buy from these places unless they want to go without or buy second hand.0 -

As the link mentions Zandoni it includes the "5 Star Service" which reads as a service agreement. Not sure how much you would pay for the product without this service agreement, plus I don't think you can buy it without anyway. Your link proves how much extra customers are paying but they might not have £354.56 to go buy a tumble dryer at Tesco. Surely if they did they would buy from Tesco? The Brighthouse website makes it very clear how much extra it costs to buy it weekly.0

I do realise that not everyone can buy from where they like but Brighthouse are charging 69.9% APR. They even insist on Accidental Damage insurance and you can't buy without their 5 star service.
They might make it clear but it doesn't make them a good company to deal with.0 -
I didn't say it makes them a good company. What I was trying to say was that they make it clear enough for a customer to way up whether they should pay 69.9 APR or buy out right. I can only assume that the majority with cash in their pocket will buy out right because they realise they are paying way over the odds. However those without will see that they can afford £7 a week or whatever and will be happy to pay that even if in the long run they will end up paying out more.0

bright house are a complete rip off, the 5* service is a name, you get zip.
You pay for the fact you get to pay £7 a week without a credit history. Everything is at least double the price you would buy from a normal source.
So how's your 5 star service working out for you now you need it?0
