HI,
Looking for some advice!
I have got hold of both my equifax and experian credit reports however there are some discrepancies. Accounts shown as settled with no defaults on equifax are showing as defaulted on Experian? Is this right? Do i need to contact experian to amend this? I had to fight hard to get them removed from equifax as they were inaccurate and i'm scared to face the process again for experian!

In theory, amendments on one CRA eventually become recorded on all the others. Personally I would raise an objection with Experian.0

No that is not something you should accept.
The CRAs won't change this kind of information themselves.
You need to complain to the creditor and request that they instruct the change with Experian. It should be a much easier process if the creditors have already agreed to update Equifax.
Make sure you get your Callcredit file too (you can get it free on Noddle)0 -
Okay thanks guys! I spent forever getting my equifax report looking acceptable, stupidly assuming my experian would follow suit. Just been rejected for our AIP and gutted now thinking about starting again!Credit score slowly improving!0

Don't forget your Call Credit file too! (https://www.noddle.co.uk)I'm a Board Guide on the Credit Cards, Loans, Credit Files & Ratings boards. It's endless isn't it! I wish more than anything everything was reported in one place
Experian have locked my online account... So now got to order 2 original documents and send a copy of my passport to get a new pin... 10 working days... GrrrrrrrrrrCredit score slowly improving!0 -
In that case - pick up the phone and talk to their complaints department today.
This error is directly impacting your mortgage and creditors can force through emergency updates of your credit file in 24-72 hours (although may deny this - hold your ground and say you will be charging them a daily fee for your out of pocket expenses due to their mismanagement of your personal data - they deny it as I believe it costs them money to do this)
Ask the complaints department at E2Save how long it will take and then get another copy of your Experian file the day after to check it.
If you have a broker, let him know what you are doing and ask him to resubmit your case, otherwise phone up the mortgage lender and explain that you had an error on your credit file which has now been resolved and ask them to run it again.
PS - always get copies of all 3 CRA files before doing a mortgage application .... but then you know this now as you learned the hard way ;-)0 -
Experian post on here under http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/member.php?u=9005
Maybe try contacting them and seeing if they can resolve your account access more quickly.0 -
Thanks everyone! Really appreciate it!Credit score slowly improving!0

I've managed to get into my Noddle account. Showing four additional defaults which all don't show as defaults on my equifax....
Help!
Also found one for Lowell portfolio which i paid £20 to in May 2015... I've called them and they've informed me it's for an o2 account i had which shows up to date and closed in July 2012... Then they've defaulted it as of 11/2014.... Incredibly confused as i haven't had an o2 agreement since..Credit score slowly improving!0
