Toilet cistern plastic...name please!

Hi..have just replaced ballcock / arm and other bits. The small right angled plastic filter that the water fills through keeps coming off...water drips down cistern....when lid is off...sprays all over. What is this bit called?....I think it has a lip that , when turned...catches the blue plastic nut to retain it....?…

The reason the white piece keeps coming off is because you have it in the wrong place, turn it so it is at 90 degrees from where it is now ie facing the front of the cistern
