How to remove old accounts

Years ago I fell for the debt consolidation company promise which turns out to be a big mistake, I now have a old bank account which went into arrears and is really hurting my credit score. turns out I was paying the debt company money and then they were paying a small amount to each of my credit card companies.. however I was constantly told to ignore any letters and forward them to this company but since then the old bank account is dragging my credit score and I just have no idea where to go to try and remove or at least change the status of the bank account

You can't remove them.

You could change the status by settling the outstanding debt.

Move to a debt management company that doesn't charge you and free up some cash.

Sign up for your credit report at Noddle and Clearscore and take a screenshot of this alleged bank account because your post is very jumbled and doesn't make much sense.

Theres no such thing as a credit score either.

Oh yes a default can be removed by the lender. But usually only due to an error. You could offer to clear the debt on condition that it's removed. Otherwise clear the debt and it becomes settled.
