Hello there my lovelies
Thanks for the kick off CCL :A
Hope your DS feels better soon Ziggy
No more fretting about your taxi Bob – certainly justified
Hello QB – Sounds like you are on a fab debt-busting mission!
Ha ha Dawn – I was laughing about foxgloves and the knitted kitty too :rotfl:
Twiggy – please send your tips when you reach the summit! I am still at the biggest part underwater!!
Pace – if you have an NSD to spare can you send one my way please!
Still not good at this grocery/household cutting back malarkey. Spent £45 yesterday rather than the £30 I was aiming for. I guess that spending that every week would still be sub-£200 a month, which would still be good... Ho hum...
What else...
B/L/D from stores
Sausage casserole tonight – going to make loads with lots of extra veg :A
Put cheapo bubble bath in posh soap dispenser
Guilt-free snacking at work at charity bake sale :rotfl:
Night in tonight – tidying round to keep out of spending trouble
Bought a kindle book yesterday – had it in my wish list for ages and saw that it was down to under £2 :T
Got another free kindle book too :j
Sent feelers out for more yoga cover at end of the month
Feel like we are just scraping by this month with the flat being empty. Proud of myself though because every other time it’s been empty I’ve done a ‘transfer to bank’ cc offer to cover the mortgage. :eek:0 -
Hi Everyone

Well done on the weight loss Lego Mum :T
Cat - do you not have a catflap for them to not bug you at night?
Foxgloves - I was wondering are you knitting a cat so it can't bug you for seconds :rotfl:
My list for today:
Currently sneaking on when at work. I NEVER have a lunch break and so as I have been working on my mindset I have decided to change some ways, and one of them is do something else for at least 5 minutes for the hours in the office. After all, there is no overtime for it.
Work on mindset - listened to an audiobook on commute in and will do same on way home. It was free with a months trial but you get to keep the book after :T on about my 3rd listen
Check banking - update sheets
Check surveys, FPL
Send some info to a new lady that has joined my business yesterday so she can get started :T
Meals from stores, DH made me a sandwich for work
One thing off Feb list
Plan food for weekend when we have some friends over - minimal spend, will see what I can make
Look for 2nd hand breadmaker on fleabay or local selling pages, mines broken and I'm really missing it.
Think that's about all, stay warm and safe everyone

<fx: creeps back in sheepishly>
Evening all! Back from spring festival festivities - waaay too much fun, food and liver-destroying fluids. If ever you have the chance to try baijiu... don't.
So back to business
Accounts updated
Gym
Hellifax didn't process my DD change in time to pay off their CC. Useless, they had 2 weeks, and it wasn't even a public holiday in the UK. No wonder they went bankrupt. Stupid system they have, where I can't just make arbitrary payments online but can mess with the DD.
So the money for that goes back into short-term savings for another month.
Back to work tomorrow. I'm sure our friendly installation engineers will have managed to break something important while I was away...

Money scares me.
Honesty update will arrive shortly......:o0 -
Thanks La E..what is the latest with your flat?
Hey Bobarellabella, it's still just up for rent. EA had 3 viewings last week - one was interested but can't move in until 18 March - then they had another 3 viewings lined up but no one showed up... And they have 2 more viewings lined up so we'll see how they go. I think if none of this batch rents it then I'm going to change EAs - hopefully some new photos/blurb will create some new interest.
It's still in the back of my mind to see if we can sell it but chopping and changing my mind...

Morning all

Thanks for the start CCL. Sorry to hear that you had a bad night
I only managed about 5 hours sleep, as DH has a cold and spends much of the night crashing about
Hope your son is better soon Ziggy
Freezing again here this morning, but it looks as though the sun is going to come out
List for today:
Check banks Done
Dog walks x 2 DH and I did 1 each
Load of washing and peg outside (brrr but it will start to dry and can be finished off on the airer
) Done, and it was very nearly dry when I got it in
HM meals from stores Done
Find packaging, pack up and post ebay item sold yesterday
Done
Walk all journeys Done
Put sales items brought back from unit yesterday away (they are still in the car at the moment) Done, still got to drag them up to the loft though
Sow tomato seeds
Not done
Keep heating and hot water use to the minimum, till we light the woodburner later
Done
Any online surveys, check FPL Did a really long, boring and complicated survey for Ipsos on floors and walls
Doesn't sound much, but I am sure I will think of more later
Hope you all have a good day
Pulled all the [STRIKE]carp[/STRIKE] antiques / sales stock out of my lovely painted Indian cupboard in the dining room, so that I can put some of my own things away
Now I can see the dining table again :T
Managed to find a couple of empty boxes for the stock so that can go in the loft as well.
Put the washing on the airer to finish off
Pulled up some more half eaten cabbages for the chickens
Rang ocado and cancelled my smart pass membership (cheap delivery) as they have put up the price so that it is no longer cheap  (goes from £3.99 per month to £6.99
), at least not for the average once a month I use it! I will still shop with them, but will pay per delivery, then I can choose the cheapest time
I guess it would still pay for people who have a delivery each week.
'Night all
Hoping for an early night and more sleep than I managed last night! 0 -
hi
well its been ages how are you all
I am still been mse but I must try and post as its good to talk LOL

Well today ended up being a whole load of carp that set me back a bit. Basically, dh's cpn told me that I was expecting far too much from him so soon and that I need to be 'more understanding' !!!!!! :wall: It has just about tipped me over the edge - thank goodness I have my little escape on here where I can actually just be me.
Jonno - we don't have a cat flap. I suspect it may end up being quite expensive getting it fitted and getting collars for all 6 of them. Nobody else ever seems to hear them apart from me - dd tells me just to ignore them and dh reckons I should be able to sleep through it. I've resisted a cat flap for 3 years but may look into it again.
Welcome back to all the folks that we haven't seen for a while  - jump right in, we're still the same friendly old bunch (apart from me obviously who has a PhD in stress and moaning :rotfl:crazy_cat_lady wrote: »
Plans for today
[STRIKE]:undecided Check banking and PAD[/STRIKE]
:undecided Do not stress :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Epic fail
[STRIKE]:undecided Make big roast dinner from YS chicken and super six veggies[/STRIKE] For some reason this took me 3 hours, but also included a load of veg prep for next week, a big batch of soup and some banana bread.
[STRIKE]:undecided Take ds to hairdresser - still undecided whether to get my own done[/STRIKE] After a strange quirk of fate, I ended up getting my hair done for free today. They'd booked ds in but not me. I said that was fine and I'd wait until next time, but my hairdresser was so horrified that she said if I could wait an extra half hour she'd do my hair for free (I must have looked really terrible :rotfl:)
[STRIKE]:undecided Get dh and the kids to tidy the house before his CPN visits this afternoon[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]:undecided Finally sew up my knitting and crochet projects.[/STRIKE] :j
[STRIKE]:undecided make time for exercise[/STRIKE]
I have a good friend coming to visit tomorrow and I'm completely determined that I am going to pull myself round from my role as the mood hoover and get on and be my more rational and reasonable self. See you all then! Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

((Hugs)) CCL, your husband's CPN was insensitive to say the very least  With work stress, the responsibility for the whole family and being the sole breadwinner I would have thought it was obvious that you need a bit of tlc too!0
