This is taken from the Neo Forum:

The formula to calculate BEP its pretty simple:

    (A/B+C/D/E)/F= BEP

A: cost to extend 1 referral
B: days of the extension used in A
C: membership costs, $0 for standards
    D: days in a year
    E: number of rented referrals
F: minimum earning per referral click

If you are a Standard member with 50 rented referrals and you extend them for +90 days you have to pay $0.49 per referral while you earn minimum $0.005 per click from their clicks, so the BEP would be:

    ($0.49/90+$0/365/50)/$0.005= 1.08888889 BEP

So going to work through it for myself now :)

We're gonna need a bigger cup of coffee.....
    :coffee::think:

My costs for extending 1 ref at the min is $0.20 as i am only doing 30 days right now

    so that makes $0.20/30 = 0.00667

membership costs for me are $0.00 as i won my golden

    so 0.00/365 and i have 461 refs so 0.00/365/461 = 0.00

(0.00667+0.00)/$0.01 (lowest for golden) = 0.6666666667 so will use 0.67 as my BEP

Using my extremely convoluted crazy way (Which I will re-evaluate before posting on here) I came out with :-
You need to be earning $3.2267 per day to break even with 450 referrals extended for 30 days. Which works out as an average of 0.71 so a little higher but pretty close.

If your only extending for 30 days wouldn't it be better having auto pay on instead as it gives an 15% discount as opposed to the 5% when extending for 30 days ?

EDIT :- Just realised my calculation accounts for the golden cost which is probably the difference x
    Total Debt [STRIKE]£25,460 [/STRIKE](23/02/2016) £13,416.94.(paid 48%)
    Earn £10 a day 2015 - £878.91 2016 - £3932.18
    2017 - £1686.24 - 2018 - £272.37
    March 2019 - £120.99
    April 2019 - £0/£300
  • Standard Break Even Calculation:-

As the averages change so much I made a calculation to work out how much you need to earn per day to break even.

(number of referrals x cost of extension in dollars)/number of days in that extension

So 50 extensions extended for 90 days =

    (50*0.49)/90 = $0.2722

you can work out the BEP average then by the following calculation :-
(Earnings per day required/number of referrals) / RR click rate

    So for the above example
    ($0.2722/50)/$0.005 = 1.0888

If that all makes no sense feel free to completely ignore it all x

For Upgraded members you would need to factor in the cost of membership
    Total Debt [STRIKE]£25,460 [/STRIKE](23/02/2016) £13,416.94.(paid 48%)
    Earn £10 a day 2015 - £878.91 2016 - £3932.18
    2017 - £1686.24 - 2018 - £272.37
    March 2019 - £120.99
    April 2019 - £0/£300

Have you tried the calculator under the 'help' tab at the bottom of the Neobux page? Keeps me motivated looking at the amount that can be made.

I worked out my BEP the other day and with Golden costs, it was something like 0.86 required and about double the clicks from adverts that my rrs are doing at the moment! So I just keep an eye on the daily average and am happy if it is 0.60 or higher.

I have just hit $65 so creeping towards the required amount. Hoping that there will be a discount price soon.

Well now i know roughly what my BEP is i have started to work on recycling with a bit more confidence. I sort my refs with avg going from smallest up and any under my BEP who haven't clicked for 7 days are getting recycled.

My daily click rate from rrs has been reasonably steady for the past 3 days: 273, 284, 281 and before that had gone down to 203. I still have 83 who haven't clicked yet...

I would like to get the daily click rate up over 300 and that will give me about $1 extra per day in comparison to what i was getting when i was ignoring the recycling bit. That extra $30 per month will rent a lot more refs!

That makes such a difference...I have been quite ruthless with my recycling with both non clickers and low averages. I have 380 and reached 514 clicks yesterday which is my highest. Clearing about $5.2 a day.

Does anyone else find themselves thinking about strategy a lot lol? I come home from work and start thinking about this. My other half doesn't quite understand my excitement with this when I get clicks lol.

I don't know whether to save to use any discounts on 24th March etc to extend all to 240 before i rent any more. I am aiming for 500 refs as helpfully suggested in earlier posts to optimise earning. i could rent some more tonight. I don't have any refs under 20 days.

Erm yes yes and YES!! I use it as an alternative to counting sheep when I go to bed. lol I have all these calculations going on in my head and fighting myself on whether to try and get more referrals in bigger packs or to keep slow and steady and renew all for 240 days. Then I count how many weeks before my hol in corfu at end of May and realise I have to factor in the fact I dont want any running near to their expiration date but then again it would be nice to rent a big pack before I go away and hope they earn me something whilst Im sunning meself. (got someone to do my daily clicks while Im away)

    Me obsessed??? :rotfl::rotfl:

And noooooo my OH doesnt get it either.

lol I lay in bed thinking through the calcs too!

That's brilliant you have someone to do your clicks for you....lovely holiday to look forward to as well.

I went ahead and purchased another 90 refs bringing me to 470. I figured I would try to get the $5 a day to save up to extend when hopefully there are some discounts. Let's just hope I have some nice steady clickers! I noticed my first new ref who clicked 9 adverts so I got the 9 credited, not noticed that before as they all seem to be max of 4 clicks as standard maybe.
