BT sending out fake Love2Shop vouchers

appologies if this is a misplaced thread, wasnt quite sure how to categorise
I recently switched (December) to BT phone and broadband via an offer on MSE.
the offer gave the user a £100 prepaid mastercard and £50 Love2Shop vouchers.
I have successfully claimed both since my switch
I tried to spend some Love2Shop vouchers in Boots. When i presented the voucher, the cashier inspected them, and referenced a memo from head office on how to spot fake vouchers, she concluded these vouchers were indeed fake and refused them.
As this is an MSE affiliated offer, im quite sure Martin wouldnt be pleased to know that fake vouchers are being sent out. Could anybody advise if they have experienced similar - or where I should go for help? I now have £50 of worthless vouchers

speak to BT, you bought from them not MSE.0

I would have thought it was the shops fault ?
Try to use them else where.
I would be surprised if BT sent out "fakes"0 -
i was surprised too, however i couldnt disagree with the memo i was shown, which was sent from Love2shop to all boots stores.
Being as these clearly dont match the definition as authentic, I dont feel it is particularly moral to try and palm them off on some other unsuspecting business - the boots memo said it costs them £60k a year in fake love2shop vouchers!0 -
Love2Shop vouchers have fairly recently had a design update although both are still in circulation. Could it be yours are the newer ones and the memo concerned the older ones, or vice versa, and that led to the confusion?
As you are, I would be highly surprised if BT were sending out fake vouchers as I would imagine they get them directly from Park.0 -
I agree, more likely to be boots fault and the vouchers are correct.
Contact boots and express your concerns that new vouchers supplied to you by BT were refused and see if they update their system.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
This makes no sense though? why would they just refuse the vouchers?
if the shop staff genuinely believed them to be fraudulent then they would retain them surely? what a ridiculous memo from head office...
at the very least their should be a contact number for staff to ring so that they can get advice from love2shop! after all you could just take the "fake" vouchers elsewhere! if they really have such little faith in Love2Shop they should remove themselves from the scheme.
I would contact both Boots & Love2Shop and while you're at it I'd also make a complaint to BT making it clear to all three companies that you were left severely upset & embarrassed at the checkout and will seriously think twice about using any of them in the future, you never know you might be able to wring out some more vouchers from them for emotional distress.0 -

This is everything that's wrong with people in this country. They want something for nothing.0
