I want to distribute a powerpoint show but do it via a website/web page only and not by distributing it via a MS Office ppsx
What is the easiest and cheapest way of doing this?
I can't write in code soit has to be a simple solution with very little cash outlay (because quite simply I don't have any)

I thought of that but there is a link on the PP and also there are several different routes to take through the PP presentation.
Reason I want to do this is because it's something a friend has done voluntarily in his own spare time for work to help new staff.
I think it's a fantastic piece of work and even I, as someone who isn't in the trade/job that he does, would be able to follow this and almost instantly understand significant parts of the job role he does.
It could potentially reduce his employers training timescale for new staff to half of what it currently stands at, and for that he wants the recognition he believes he deserves considering the significant cost savings his employer will benefit from.
As he understands it anything he does for them which is then distributed becomes their property and he's spent well over 200 hours preparing this.
He could just distribute is as a protected ppsx but I believe that there is a way to access the individual slides in which case his employer could simply copy it and distribute it as their own.
He wants recognition (not money) for this work before he allows them to aquire it as their own.
None of the work was done on a works computer it was all done on his own laptop.[SIZE=-1]To equate judgement and wisdom with occupation is at best . . . insulting.

If your friend can do a PP presentation a website wont be hard for them.
Protecting it is hard and there are so many ways around the protection it may not be worthwhile trying to.
How much of his presentation involves material from his company?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
So why wasn't it done in works time, seems unfair?
Wasn't he told to do it?
If it was done in his own time he own's the copyright, maybe go down that route.0 -
https://www.onedrive.live.com allows you to upload and create PowerPoint Presentations and then you can share with other people.
It's free to sign-up to and you get a few GB for free.0 -

Thats one way of looking at it, but his contract of employment states that any work done and provided to the employer becomes their intellectual propertyalanclarke wrote: »www.onedrive.live.com allows you to upload and create PowerPoint Presentations and then you can share with other people.

But the information that is contained within the PP can be found within the public domain.[SIZE=-1]To equate judgement and wisdom with occupation is at best . . . insulting.

So its all freely available information but he created a PP slideshow with links to it?
Still trying to grasp what he is protecting and how much of the work is his?
If he went to his boss and said i can cut your training costs and then show them the clip on his device, is it something they can then google and get the same content that he is using without giving him credit?
If the presentation is online in any format then its usually quite easy to rip it off.
