  • morning everyone,

just popping in to say well done to those who have had wins these last few days... I won a tin of soup and mug! (broccoli and stilton)

Been busy at work since going back but back in the swing of it now and getting settled back in. due back at hospital on the 18th for another scan on back as left foot is still painful. I think it is like sciatic pain but they want to check for disc problems again.

anyway moaning out of the way... April lady I feel like I have constantly moaned this last few months with my injury but everyone around me has been really supportive and just listening and being there is a godsend, hope you are feeling more upbeat this weekend.

We have had terrible weather this week including snow which is unusual for us but today is cold but sunny

have a good weekend everyone and good luck:j:j

    :hello: Good morning everyone!

    graphics-garfield-655933.gif

Hope you are all well. :) After the strange weather day
here yesterday, we ended up with sleet! Ho hum! :p

Today we had a frosty start to the morning, now we have
    sunshine on and off!

Very excited this morning because yesterday I saw a
Spitfire flying over my abode (personal flypast :D :rotfl:)!

It was actually in preparation for:

March 5th 2016 marks the 80th anniversary of the first flight of the Spitfire. Southampton Airport, where the prototype first took to the skies in 1936, will host an event that both celebrates the iconic aircraft’s past whilst looking to its future. A Spitfire will be taking to the skies from the airport to mark the occasion and will fly over the south coast for local people and visitors to see.

The next generation of British aviators and entrepreneurs will attend; from war veteran Nathan Forster (thought to currently be the world’s youngest Spitfire pilot at 28) to RAF Air Cadets celebrating their 75th Anniversary and the team behind new ‘Spitfire startup’ Flying with Spitfires.

As a mark of respect the Spitfire will fly close to the resting place of its Chief Designer R.J. Mitchell, before continuing out along the river Itchen to Southampton Water. It will also pass near to the site of the old Supermarine factory in Woolston where many thousands of the aircraft were built and then onwards to Portsmouth harbour before flying back on itself to Southampton Airport.

..... so fingers 'n paws crossed that I see it again today.
I just  the sight and sound of this iconic aircraft. :p

Good afternoon all, have to agree with you Alfie, very strange weather here too. Rain, sleet, wind, sunshine all within a few minutes.

Glad you managed to get back into the swing of things back at work luck of the draw and hope scans come back OK.

Hope you are OK today April lady/three wishes/leanfun.

Big hugs Wingo if you are passing by. Still thinking of you.

Well done on the win firefly. Electrician eventually came and sorted it out. We went to bed soon after as the house was cold so thought we would get an early night. We are still No1 on the bidding list for the flat so fingers crossed, bidding ends tomorrow night.

Glad you managed to sort out who sent the flowers Sheils and hope you get some enjoyent out of them before you go away.

Must get on as need to hoover etc and do a bit more sorting. Also Lottie needs to go in the tub for a wash and blow dry, no doubt she will hide and sulk as usual. Its worse than having LO's sometimes with a dog LOL.

Have a lovely day everyone, sorry if I have forgot anyone.
