DD1 off to metro centre today with college. I'm so glad she's finally making friends, she seems much happier! A few of the others on the course also have autism and other problems so she doesn't feel like 'the odd one out' anymore like the school made her feel. She's also put lots of cv's in for part time jobs too so I'm very proud of her
What wonderful news wingo :A - best thing ever was for
DD to continue education at college instead of carrying on
at the dreadful school. The college sounds brilliant and so
understanding.
And very well done to your DD :A - I do hope she is
successful in gaining a part time job too. Absolutely brilliant
news all round! :T I'm really chuffed for you. :A

evening all  hope everyone's had a lovely day
grey clouds & drizzle disappeared around 10ish & it turned
into a very hot & sunny day here
to hot to be bothered to eat anything so lots of iced water
here
hope you've had a lovely day in the garden Alfie :dance:please be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly.0 -
Good Morning,
Supposed to be ok here again today infact supposed to be sunny by afternoon. Was scary to see the flooding in Manchester the other day.
Looks like we are having to do a bit of cat sitting the next two days as DD and her bf are having two nights in Blackpool.
She has loads of injections to get today though so hope she will be ok. Can't believe how many injections they have to have before they are let near patients.
She also missed one or two at school as the office misslaid her form once and she had the cold when due another one. She isn't happy!
Great your DD1 is making friends wingo. Hope she finds a little part time job. All of mine were lucky with that although a lot was done by word of mouth.
DD is still doing her job at the moment, though not sure how long she will be able to.
It will be a lot quieter after the English October week so she might get a break from it then.
Hopefully she will find out her first placement in next week or two.
She was speaking to one person who did her course and they got sent to "Carstairs State Hospital" For those who don't know that is a high security hospital .
The only gardening we did yesterday was cut the front lawn Alfie.
It was so long after all the rain there has been here. DH meaning to cut the back today.
Hopefully you will soon be back to normal FF.
Hope everyone has a lucky day.

 Good morning everyone!
Lovely pics today all! :A
Phew! It's another very warm day here already -
still hoping for rain at some point!
The flooding in Manchester the other day though was
horrendous - agree with you sheils - it was really
scary - the weather is getting frighteningly weird of
late.
Good luck puddy cat sitting.:T Hope your DDs
placement goes well and hopefully she won't be placed
at "Carstairs State Hospital".
Had a wonderful day gardening yesterday, so off out
there again in a while to get on with this n' that
before 'predicted' rain arrives tomorrow.
Crikes sylv - sounds as if you are all going to be mega
busy! Hope all goes well with the haircuts for little
lottie and you.
Lol fire**fly at your fringe growing twice as quickly as
the rest .... I'm the same .... in fact I've been known
to try and cut it myself on the odd occasion!
:T :dance::dance::dance:
Have a lovely and lucky day all, take care - I'll pop by
later.

Oh I often trim my fringe Alfie
Sometimes it ends up like this....
Fire**fly, keep taking it slowly one day at a time xx It got out fairly warm this afternoon here too but still quite foggy in places.
That's terrible Sheils putting someone in a high secure hospital on their placement. I know in nursing you do training in general, learning disabilities and mental health too but that's enough to put you off going there! DH works in a medium secure hospital but even that can be dangerous. Hopefully your DD won't get put there! Enjoy your cat sitting
Hope you and lottie enjoyed your pampering Sylvia and had a good haircut. Hope DH's app went well xx
I took DD1 to town to open a bank account for her and I have to make an appointment apparently. Times have changed now from when I went to bank! I noticed the tins of chocs were 2 for £7 in Tesco. Might stock up early!
Sheils, there's a free hotel stay offer over in freebies when you go for a test drive. Not sure if you're interestedBig thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!0 -
Good Morning,
Sun shining away already. Washing about up to date - just bath mats to go I think. Even got all the shorts and T-shirts ironed last night.
Will have to get organised and go and see DD's kitten.
Thats for free hotel night info wingo but as our car isn't a year old yet I don't have the nerve to go for a test drive and pretend we want a new one!
Hope everyone has a lovely and lucky day.
