  • Had a lovely time out with DD. She took me to Hebden Bridge to a litte cafe called the Blitz, 1940 style. We have lovely jacket potatoes. We were amazed how many peeps were in Hebden Bridge it was absolutely buzzing with activity. We certainly go back soon and take DH.

Hope you have all had a lovely day.

LOL had a phone about 40 minutes ago and it came up as DS. So answered and said your back quick. Was answered who gran. Realised it was GS and asked what he was doing with his Dads phone and he said I have run out of credit on mine so founds dads so that I could phone you. They do have a landline. He wanted to ask if I could do somethiing for him for his sisters birthday on Monday and wanted to keep it a surprise. Little scamp that he is lol. He is going to dig into his own piggy bank which is a bit unusual as every penny is a prisoner with him.

It's good to see the kids wise with their money Rose :)

I saw your DD's pic on FB Sylvia, looked like they were both having good fun :) Did you see the bird pic I put on which flew in sons bedroom? It was funny that he thought I had put it there for a joke! :D

We haven't had any rain either fire**fly/ Alfie, in fact it's been lovely here today. We all sat in mams garden having a family chat which was nice.

Enjoy your weekend off indie and ignore that phone!

Sheils, hope your mam feels better soon after her op xx That's a shame she missed out on her hol but it could have been worse if she had taken ill on holiday. Sounds like you've got a very busy week ahead!

Postie brought a nice big parcel....to take in for neighbour! :o

Been online and found a half decent mobile in argos. Only does phone and texts. Their mum and dad keep a tight grip with them on their tablets and GS phone. He gets a monthly top up of £5 and then he is done. Mum and dad have their bank accounts as well. So phoned up florist neighbour and she is going to do an angel balloon with 7 on it for me on Monday will stick it in boot when I am picking them up from school and tape pressy on to weight. Wont take all of money from him but he has to hand over £5 or balloon wont come out of boot lol. DIL now knows what is going on and she is ok with it.

Sylvia just had a look online. My kind of old fashioned cafe. Don't like cakes much but sandwiches and setup appeals to me. Love a sandwich and a good cuppa

Used to go to them in Silloth have fish and chips and bread and butter then a good cuppa. Was owned by Italian twins. Only on holiday but went there for years. Was so sad when I went back in older years and their family was not there.
