Home again. Got the jacket. There was £50 of it. So half price. Wanted it to go with a cream dress I bought for a wedding in September. It is a Chanel type jacket. If you look up classic chanel it is that kind of shape. It is pale blue.. I am so pleased. Could not justify paying £100. Luckily rain has stayed off here this morning but it is still very dull and cloudy outside. Friend is coming over later so wine is in the fridge and bought a few nibbles for us to indulge in.:)

Some lovely pics today everyone, thanks. Bit dull here at the moment and very windy and changeable.

I know what you mean about life and family taking over leanfun and COnfused its like that here sometimes. Having said that I do miss not popping in here.

Hope you get the jacket at a good price Rose.

Well done on the win firefly.

Glad you are getting sorted for the wedding Wingo and well done on you wins too.

Hi Alfie, still plodding on with the garden I see.

Goodness sylvia did not know you wore hearing aids. I have been deaf in my right ear since childhood. Have managed with my left but does lead in to many funny situatations when i am in somewhere where there is a load of noise or a loud music situation. With the music I now just give up unless someone is speaking straight at me. I have been in many situations where someone has said something to me and I have heard something completely different. Have to say even in my good ear mobiles can cause a problem.

 Hi all - just popped back in for a bit of a
    breather!

Had a good stab at sorting out the rubbish but still
loads to do ..... may carry on tomorrow. :p

It's beautiful weather here so may just pop out
and potter around the garden for a while. :D

Well done on your jacket purchase rose, it sounds
lovely and such a bargain! :T

I hadn't realised rose that you have had no hearing
in your right ear since childhood.

My daughter has slight hearing loss in her right ear
since birth but my goodness she can hear like a bat
    in her left ear! :D

She could have had an operation when she was
21'ish to try and restore her hearing to 100% but it
was a case of ... it may work or not and if it didn't
there was the probabiity that she would have lost
all hearing in that ear .... so thankfully she decided
against it. She's never looked back either!

sylv - have a lovely week dog sitting at your DHs
    DD1s abode.

Have a lovely rest of the day all - will catch up
    later. :)

Just typed my message and lost it.

I know what you mean Rose, its a nightmare when you go into a store with music on, thats why I like Lidl as they dont have any. Waited 80 mins at the clinic only to be told that I will have to be re-assessed for a 2 new aids as they are not compatible with theirs and they are only and 18 months old! Another wait!

Sounds like you have been busy Alfie, not quite sure where you find all your energy from!

Hope you have all had a good day.

Aw sorry you have to wait another 18mths Sylvia for your hearing aids. Everything is a wait nowadays. Enjoy your dog sitting next week :)

Alfie, I always get that with the dustpans! I've bought quite a few different ones cos I hate it when they just don't pick up the last bits! :D

Rose, glad you got your jacket in the end. I was looking in House of Frazer yesterday and I noticed lots of bolero jackets in the sale. I couldn't find any before when I was looking! I've decided not to wear one now for wedding.

I'm afraid I haven't bought any shorts yet and I did find two old pairs in another cupboard so taking them and going to buy some over there too. I just need something doing with my mop head and bushy eyebrows before the wedding! :p

I've got 2 hearing aids & the queues are always rather lengthy at audiology - got my hearing loss diagnosed in 1992 so I've sat in a few of these queues in my time, as a child & as an adult! :D

In my health board area, they now do separate clinics for children but when I was younger you just had to go & join the big queue at the main clinic. I've once sat for 2 & a half hours before being seen!

I'm due for a hearing test before the year end - 5 years since my last one. I'll try & see if I can get an appointment as I am working full time and need to arrange time off.
A good life is when you assume nothing, do more, need less, smile often, dream big, laugh a lot, and realise how blessed you are.

Well done on your win firefly. You are doing well.

Sorry Wingo/3for what I meant was they are saying I will have to get new ones as they use a different make here than they did when we were in Durham and that they are only about 18months old! They said that as one is not working the Audiology here will have to give me an apointment within 16 days but I have to go to the docs for referral.
