Dull and windy here tonight. Had some light rain earlier but was sunny and warm this afternoon. Son dropped in earlier and nearly went mad when he saw I had ladders out to change curtains. He is going to do them for me. Couple of the neighbours have a firm come in and change their curtains and take the dirty ones away and launder or dry clean them because of the height of the windows. Have a window cleaner to do outside of windows but have to use a telescopic pole thingy to do inside which is a pain. Well done ff and leanfun on your wins today fab when you get something unexpected.0

Thanks Alfie and Sylvia.
Lo Alfie that's how we were the other dAy it's an awful feeling. Love the pics.
Just had a friend on the phone and she saw Les Mis film. She knew all about Samantha Barts. think I will order first DVD on Pms links for both of us as you both recommend it,
Footie, footie footie here Wingo. DH got up singing its The day today. I asked why? Might have guessed fixture list for next season was out today.
Yes, it's a shame about violence. The Russians have been trained for it. At least DD1 and DH arrived home safely from weekend game. They were sitting outside Hardrock cafe when trouble kicked off they managed to escape. They saw trouble in stadium but we're not near. Next time I am asked to look after GS I will ask more questions. Lo they are making me greyer by the day.0 -
Fire**fly, that sounds reassuring your sis having the artificial grass too with no probs. I'm definitely gonna have to get some! We still have a large trampoline in garden so I want to section that bit off with chipping underneath and put borders either side of garden so we won't need that much artificial grass.
C0nfused, I have a border collie who's very playful and dug big holes in garden but DH has since filled them in and he hasn't touched them since so I think the artificial grass might be ideal. He tends to do his business down the back of garden now so easier to clean.Lol @ the dog almost digging a tunnel!
Our staffie x has a few strange habits.. one of them is that he doesn't like to toilet when he is wearing his muzzle. So he doesn't toilet unless he absolutely has to when we are out on walks. He didn't mind before we muzzled him but not any more! Not sure why.
He also undoes his seat belt. On top of this he has broken the clips on both sides of the car hammock and can undo the zip in the middle. He had the best fun ever jumping into the footwell instead of onto the seat when I was trying to bring him home from kennels. We have to clip him into two seat belt sockets incase he undoes one of them...
There is no point in us using a stair gate or anything because, as we found when we were decorating, he can jump them.. half an hour we managed to keep him in the kitchen before he jumped..
This evening, he has learnt a new trick and folded his bed in half.. I don't know how he did it. Or why.
Strange dog.
Anyway, no wins for me yet.. hoping my first win will come soon (and hopefully be something decent!)
Have you all had a good day?

Rose like FireFly I had been worried about you climbing up to take down curtains. Your DS would have been upset you hadn't asked him for help, he'd been even more upset if you had an accident. It's very hard when you have always been able to do things and been very independant.
Lo about your dog COnfused he seems a right character.
Missed that programme Firefly will see if it's on catchup. Great you enjoyed it.0 -

Good Morning,
Well done on the wins everyone. I won a £1 on GfK media! (better than nothing)
Lovely sunny morning here in Borth, Ceredigion. Had lovely day yesterday too when we visited BIL and took him out for the day. He is getting on well but slower than he likes.
Going to try a walk along the beach today to some sand dunes/nature reserve - might not get all the way though as about 4 miles each way.
Going to Chirk Castle tomorrow, was supposed to go on way here but traffic was bad and it was raining so came straight here which was good as sun was shining here when we arrived. Had one bad day though when we went up into the Cambrian Mountains by steam engine and got soaked exploring Aberystwyth.
Staying in Southport tomorrow night and then home on Saturday. Got to be home for Father's Day on Sunday.
Hope everyone has a lucky day.

Am loving your doggy and his antics C0nfused! :rotfl::rotfl:
What a wonderful character he is!rose, must admit that, like others, I was a tad
worried about you scaling the heights to get your
curtains down for cleaning! However ... it's
probably the sort of thing I would do too!
So pleased your son is helping you out with them.:T
Have a lovely and lucky day all, take care - I'll pop
by to catch up in a while.
