Hi shiels, I think it will be. glad you're still getting around on your trips I think you've been Lancashire way a few times? nice to hear from you as well

Yes been to Burnley, Chorley, Preston, Blackpool and Lancaster a few times. Was booked for the Holiday Inn at Lancaster for twixmas and of course had it cancelled because of the flooding. Saw it last week and the refurb seems to be in full flow. Had to stay at Premier Inn accross the road last week, but on plus side it was only £29 :D

Hello luckofthedraw hope your back to full health soon.
It's been a lovely day here, once the frost went. I had the back door open all day. Did a tip run to get rid of some wood in my back garden then spent a couple of hours sorting the garden out and weeding ect. I hope it's been nice where you are.
  • Hi Indie, thanks for your wishes. been lovely here as well but cold , we did have a 5 minute hail shower this morning which was a bit odd as the sky was blue and sun shining! glad you got some gardening done, I think ours is well overdue!:j

Wellcome back luck of the draw and best wishes for a full return to health. I think my son has some kind of built in food sensors. Had just made a pot of spag bol for dinner and to put some into foil dishes for freezer. Well they didn't even get a sniff of the freezer he took them away for him and the kids lo. Also had to write him out a list as he asked me to make soup, macaroni cheese. lasagne, cottage pie and spag bol for his freezer. So will have to phone neighbour later and see if he will bring me a load of foil dishes from restaurant. He gives me them for a couple of pence each and other times he wont take payment I give him soup as well lol. Oh well busy weekend on the cards for me will keep me out of mischief.

  • Hi Rose and Firefly:j

Rose - you make some fab food for your family they are lucky. I must admit I have been a one pot (slow cooker) cook these last few months - but I must admit the meals have been easy and very tasty!!

Firefly - nice to 'see' you and hope your animals and garden are all well?

just had another hailstorm here out of the blue!!

He phoned a little while ago could I do fish pies as well lol so had to tell him what fish to get and how much. I don't mind as I do not like seeing kids getting ready meals as you never know whats in them. He very rarely had them when he was with me. I know they are convienant but nothing beats home cooking. Even when he bought his own flat when he was single I was guaranteed to feed him at least four time a week lol. Neighbour is going to drop off containers in the morning and has plastic ones as well that he is going to give me for soup to save me giving him my big tupperware ones. Luck of the draw I love my slow cooker use it a lot Have a halogen oven as well which DS bought me for my birthday two years ago (I asked for it) Would rather put that on than my big oven when just doing things for myself

Goodness neighbour has been baking again (it's fab) she brought me down half a fruit cake and half an apple and cinnamin tart. Jut had two bits of fruit cake and a piece of apple tart with a cuppa. I am stuffed. Hope I can get to sleep later lol. My eyes were bigger than my belly as we say up here.
