Best PAYG deal? Need maximum data for FREE
Hi all,
I'm looking for a PAYG deal, the kind where you get 'FREE' data/mins/txts with each top up, meaning you get to keep your top up and get data/mins/txts as a 'bonus'.
I am looking for ~250MB or more data, ~30txt and ~30mins per month. Most important for me data, something like 250-400MB would be perfect followed by texts.
So far this are some of the deals I have found:-
Kontact Mobile £5 top up offers 350MB and 111 min or texts on their Flex tariff
Tesco (triple credit) £10 top up gives upto 200MB or texts (or 80mins)
Three £5 top up gives 150MB data only.
Vodafone Freebie data £10 gives 500MB data only.
Does anyone know of any other deals that are similar or better? Would like to top up a *minimum* amount and get the max amount of data/txts/mins etc.
Thanks for any help, and hope you benefit from the above info.

When i read maximum data i was thinking 100GB + a month not a few hundred MB.
£6 for 1500 minutes, unlimited texts and 1GB data, 1 month contract.
or £10 for unlimited minutes, unlimited texts and 3GB data.
Life Mobile (£6 through uswitch) £7.95 on the website.
Currently going from Voda to them now, I got live in a few days.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

Your deal involves spending £6/month, iD is also good at £4.month for 250mins/5000txt/250MB data,
I was looking for a deal that gives you FREE stuff for just topping up and where you get to keep your top up money.0 -
Orange used to do Dolphin plan and for £10 top they used to give 1GB and 400 texts for free, that was a great deal, but no it's changed to EE it's all gone down hill0

What's good about this?
If you specifically want EE signal, Virgin mobile give 1GB+3000t for £10 PAYG topup or 500MB+1250m+Unltd on 1x£8 contract (250+250+Unltd on 1x£5). Not sure about 4g, but you hardly need it for 0.25-1GB.
And why does it have to be 'FREE'?0 -
Well, although it's a 24 month contract I've just picked up a cashback deal which will end up free and provide 500mb with 250 minutes per month. You can't beat paying nothing - although you also get a basic phone to sell so you can make a profit. Long live cashback deals!0

Thanks for your input!
I've had a contract mobile for the past 2 yrs with 500mins, unlimited txt, 250MB data on EE but barely used 20mins, 30 txt and 200MB so not really worth paying £12/month (=288 over 2 yrs).
If I'd gone for the Kontact mobile deal, I could have got my usage (20mins,30txt+250MB) for 'FREE' by topping up £5/month saving me hundreds of pounds over the 2 yrs. The top up would still on my account for other things such as google play purchase.
So the plan is to try to get this kind of use for FREE from now on. Virgin seems ideal £10 top up gets 1GB and loads of texts, but reading their T&C's they don't allow VoIP or IM use :-( Not sure how strictly they enforce this, but that seems the only drawback.
I'm not fussed about the network TBH, so any network that gives the MOST for the top up is good for me.Well, although it's a 24 month contract I've just picked up a cashback deal which will end up free and provide 500mb with 250 minutes per month. I've seen that deal on mobilephonesdirect with the cheapy Nokia? but I've just finished a cashback deal and told myslef I'd not take out another, especially as my usage is so low and the 'hassle' is not worth the saving.
Secondly i've never used mobilephonesdirect so am a bit wary of them going under and being stuck with a £180 bill over 2 yrs. Is it them or a better seller? If it was one of the CPW companies I'd probably do it, but like I said a don't have knowledge of the reliability of MPD so probably not worth the risk. The cheapest cashback deal from one of the CPW companies I've found is £5/month, it would probably be better for me to have the SIM only £4 deal from iD.
If you know of a totally free deal from a very reliable operator, let me know.

That sounds like the talkmobile cashback deal I'm on via mobilephonesdirect.
talkmobile is part of Vodafone. Sadly, the Vodafone network is dire around me. But it's just about usable for calls and text messages, which is what I got it for.
I just have to keep my fingers crossed that mobilephonedirect won't do a Phones 4U.
For data I have two EE SIMs that each offer 100MBytes of free data a month and a couple of FreedomPop SIMs that offer 200MBytes of free data a month.
The data is more than enough for me but I have to carry two phones around, which isn't a big problem for me.0 -
It is that deal. I already have multiple contracts and this will be my second with this dealer - though two others I order for now have deals from them too.
Given that I've enjoyed about 10 years of profitable cashback deals and free bundles and that the non-cashback cost is low I'm quite willing to accept the (only) risk. CPW aren't infallible - though fine at present if you're not complacent. I did have two contracts with Phones4u for the first time in years; they went bust before claim number one, but overall I lost about £50-60 net on each and also got a free tablet which has proven useful and earnt me some more money in an unconnected way.
I agree Mobile Phones Direct are a higher-risk dealer, but the risks are acceptable and they are really the only game in town. Free or profitable cashback deals are rare nowadays but I still have 6 of them plus one non-cashacbk contract which now costs me 30p a month for an excellent bundle (used to be free and after about two years is now costing me overall and that cost is going up at 30p a month, but given the bundle I have kept this one going - an absolute first for me).0 -
