Clearance Phones
Options
A lot of the retailers on the web seem to advertsise some bargains under the category of clearance phones. Has anyone taken one of these deals and can comment on the phone. Some of the web sites state that these have been returned by other customers - I don't want a second hand phone. Are these deals worth pursuing or is it best to stay clear?

I've had several clearance phones from e2Save and apart from the non-original packaging, I couldn't tell that the phones were not new.

The wife's last phone, was a clearance phone, (Nokia 6280.) and when it came,it was in the original packaging, and looked like it had never been used, and she got the standard 12 months guarantee with it.

Ken.
This is usually the case, but obviously not guaranteed. Sometimes there are things (Charger, manual, software etc) missing though.
So people should buy a new phone if they want a new phone.
A way around it is to use the Distance Selling Regulations to see if it is okay, but you may get stung by the return postage if you don't want to keep it.Well life is harsh, hug me don't reject me.0 -
I've recently ordered two clearance nokia N95 from phones4u, one already arrived, and did so in an okay condition, no scratches or dents as such, but all the protective lids that you would normally have to peel off with a new phone have already been removed.
Otherwise the phone was immaculate. Still it didn't quite feel like a new one, and yet it was.
It's only small price to pay, I guess, for what is surely the best N95 deal currently available on the market.0
