10,000 Posts Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
We have recently bought a flat and wanted to see proof of length of lease and the amount of service charges before we proceeded. Had the buyer said, I'm only giving you that information by word of mouth, we'd not have proceeded.

It's a perfectly reasonable thing for the EA to ask for, imho.

    Exactly this.

I am hoping to buy a flat. This weekend I am ploughing my way through a copy of the lease. I m about half way through. There are a couple of points I need further clarification on before I proceed.......

Anaconda you might think I'm just a nitpicking internet nerd........However it's my money that's on the line here so yes I will dot the i's and cross all the t's. I will not part with my money until I am 100 percent cent happy.

Your agent sounds like a good one. Of course you want to protect your privacy however you are in danger of shooting yourself in the foot because of your non compliance.

Let your agents have what they need so that they can do a good job for you - ie best possible price and a speedy completion.
