Very cheeky behaviour - what to do?

I have received a court summons from civil enforcement ltd - for a parking issue 2 years ago!
The first I received was the letter before court just before christmas. It didn't have any of the particulars of the 'infringement', so I wasn't able to hold my hands up or argue against it. The letter said they'd sent others before - but I haven't received ANY.
I've put in my defence at court, which said that I hadn't received any details of the parking incident so couldn't argue either way.
Which was when CEltd send me the date and car park it was in.
I now know that on that date I spend 2 hours in PC World getting data transferred. The store manager said that if I got a penalty notice to contact them and they'd get it struck off. I didn't receive anything (until now) so I didn't go in to get it struck off (obviously!).
Now it has arrived.
So I call PC World and they say they no longer have a relationships with CE ltd, so can't contact them. They have sent me the receipt for the word done, and I've emailed head office to ask them to supply me with a letter to send to CE Ltd and Court to show that I was within my rights to be parking there.
I don't know quite how this is going to go, as I already have the court action in motion.
It just seems VERY SUSPICIOUS to me that I have only received this parking notice after the relationships with the store ended, making it so much harder to fight against.
Thoughts on what I can do? I am quite worried about going to court, and the fee is currently at £250!
Would it be worth contacting the paper do you think?

very strange that they are taking revenge
oh wait ,,, http://parking-prankster.blogspot.co.uk/2016/02/civil-enforcement-limited-carry-out.html
andf then the situation wherec the coop booted them out and they took revenge by continuing with every ticket they had ever issued , the coop paid off hundreds of those , giving CEL more money to pursue others , culminating in about 50 coop staff being "hit"
ended in court , or rather it did,nt , the case was "stayed" over 13 mths ago , and now "lost" http://parking-prankster.blogspot.co.uk/2015/01/cel-turn-up-to-court-50-cases-of.htmlSave a Rachael

Have a search on here for CEL and Court.
Also have a read through the Parking Prankster blog. There have been plenty of fun and games with this lot!
I don't know that the single line defence you put in is enough, but I'll leave that to those who have a more solid knowledge.0 -
Oh man, I hope someone can help me out! I don't have a lot of time I guess, as I've already had to submit my defense. I don't know anything about how to get it delayed or to resubmit a new defense now I know the details and that I was parked where I had an agreement with the store.0

You can't add any fresh points to a defence without paying a steep court fee, AFAIK. Hmmm.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

no you havent, its not a summons, its an MCOL, in civil court
a claim via the small claims court which they have 6 years to try it on, so 2 years is a third of the way through, plus its not just you, they are vindictive and doing the same with lots of other people too
ps:- these lack of claim details were mentioned on parking pranksters blogsite recently too

a lot of good advice in this thread

and especially this one

no you cannot get free or cheap representation for a small claim (MCOL)
if you paid a solicitor to represent you it would cost hundreds of pounds , more than the claim , and as its civil court you wont get a free one, but lay reps can represent you or help you (friends)
I suggest you and your family and friends sign this petition as we are trying to get changes made

There is a court fee waiver for people on certain benefits which is worth checking because if you qualify you may be able to submit an amended, strong defence. Look up court fees and benefits concessions - Google is your friend.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I sincerely hope you can amend your non-defence:I've put in my defence at court, which said that I hadn't received any details of the parking incident so couldn't argue either way.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
