Mine was in the letterbox this morning, before my normal post, so must have been sent by courier.

Both mine & OHs came by DX but neither had to be signed for. Pp office said if it looks like a standard residential property they won't get a signature just pop it through the box.

I've got my old ones too 1 has my visa for Russia the other has by two lots of NYC stamps and my two Montreal ones. The two lots of NyC ones are on the same page as the immigration guy spotted the first lot when flicking through and said "well better put them together really hadn't I"

Passports are collected from the printing office by the courier. They send some passports by disguised mail - usually to Highlands and Islands and outlying areas .The old passports are sent out from the actual passport office who are dealing with your application, which is why they arrive separately. If you have paid the extra £3 for secure delivery, you old passport/ documents will also be sent by courier.
