County court business centre letter - cel

Hi, I was advised previously to ignore any letters etc received from CEL regarding a parking fine at Curry's PC World Ipswich in February 2013. I have now received a County Court claim form - how do you advise I should proceed?

Thanks

see parking pranksters latest blog about it, plus read the COURT CLAIM section of post #1 of the NEWBIES sticky thread too, acknowledge the claim online but leave the defence box blank

then start to prepare your skeleton defence for submission later this month

Yes but you know you must amend it, don't you? You can't win with your defence the way it is unless CEL don't turn up - if it goes to a hearing make sure you DO turn up because CEL have been known to pretend people do not have to attend, then they win.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

    Same advice as here:

Read all those links on that thread, as if we'd posted them for you. Send a pm to other people in the same boat and compare notes. It will help you all. Registered keepers should defend parking company claims and not state who might have been driving. CEL can't hold keepers liable, only admitted drivers so don't be an admitted driver.

And read the section of the NEWBIES thread about 'small claims' because it has links to help you understand what you have to do when. There's a link to bargepole explaining the series of paperwork and how to fill it in and there's at least one decence wording example.

  • Play dirty, do they have provable service of the required paperwork to establish POFA, I doubt they do.
Do not give them one inch of evidence, dispute everything they claim they did, copies of letters sent are not proof they ever posted them.
I do Contracts, all day every day.

Hi. Yes, I am figuring out how to do that now. I'll contact the court on Monday, and have also been advised to write to CEL and request it. Though that seems quite pointless as they don't bother responding to any communications. I need to find the correct process out from the court on monday.
