Morning all, this week has been manic and I have not had much time to get here, let alone to post.
Today is meant to be my day off but have to work, though at least will be home-based, in fact will be home-based next week too, well mostly.
Hope everyone is well, good luck at the vets.
Back to not sleeping and my boss has commented on how tired I look. Most days I am being offered seats on the bus, a real giveaway.I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0 -
Hi everyone,
Hester, I was woken early last Sunday morning by a recorded message from BT "reminding" me that they were going to ring me later that day! To add insult to injury they didn't so I was woken the following day with the same message. They did ring that afternoon and I'm afraid the girl got an earful. They were only ringing to see if the service visit we'd had was ok.
The expenses continue - the car wing mirror was replaced (£270) and then they said that they needed to replace the indicator on it for another £113.
Today will be giving downstairs a good going over - upstairs is now shiny clean and ready for the guests. All except DH's bedside which has junk all over the floor and his bedside table.
I'll also make some millionaires shortbread as that always goes down well with visitors.
Have a good day.0 -
Home and i'm a nervous wreck.... Ive just had the call to say she's gone into surgery.
I want whats taken away tested for cancerous cells but hubby says he doesnt want to know if she's got cancer. He just wants to enjoy her until she is sick. If she isnt sick then thats what he is hoping for. Me. I like to know what i'm up against but he's paying the bill and we all know 'He who pays the piper calls the tune'.
As it stands i think ive 'won' if you can call it that. I get to know what she is up against (im giving them my phone number) but he doesnt want her to go for treatment if she does have cancer because he is convinced if she has cancer she will die anyway.

Morning ((((((((((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))))))))))if you need one.
I was sleeping on my right side so did not hear the alarm go off, was woken with my breakfast on a tray, second morning this week. Will not set the alarm tomorrow or Sunday not into masochism. Weekends are for a lie in.....
Friday clean done. OH went to the Drs for his blood test, check his ears are clear and collect his medication. They were out of stock of one of them, its his heart medication, so he has to go down tonight to collect it.
Fish with something tonight, will see what OH fancies when he comes in, he is working in the back garden digging the soil where the fencers put the big feet when they were replacing the fence between us and our neighbour. She had a wooden fence inside the mesh one the council put up, it got blown down in the wind, she has decided to to replace it ' so she can see our herbaceous bed through the fence' cheeky, should I charge her a viewing fee???
We had a slight shower this morning, but the sun is out now and its drying up.
I had a bad night with my knitting last night, could not get the row right, undid all 184 stitches and tried again, Sill wrong, undid it again. Will see if I can sort it this afternoon when OH is having his siesta.0 -

Thanks.
I think i ought to explain her name is Lucy, we call her 'Ginge' because of her colouring. The other dog is called Millie. We call her 'Blackun' cause she is mainly black....
If you think thats confusing just think of my poor neighbour. Hubby shouted 'Blackun' down the garden and my neighbour popped out (hes Asian).:o
We now call them by their proper names out of doors.:DThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Had a much better sleep and enjoyed the WI last night as it was a talk on York minster. I never realised the church had its own police.
Youngest dd phoned me this morning asking me to pick up a parcel for her that had been misdelivered down the road so I went out for it then had a brunch of a bacon and egg sandwich, yoghurt and fruit.
Planning to go out later and see if I can get any YS bargains to bung in the freezer. Some gammon is defrosting ready to turn into a soup for later and maybe cold meat with low fat home made wedges for tonight.
Judi
Hope you get good news from the vet.

I am glad the visit to Leeds went smoothly and hope you can have some quiet time to relax.
