How to get a refund from EE?

I had a salary sacrifice scheme with work and paid £10 a month for an EE PAYG SIM

EE suggested a better deal was a 30 day rolling contract which we took out as they advised the £10 could go against it. Wrong!

Long story short I now have £129 EE credit on a PAYG account and they'll neither refund any of it NOR move it to the other account

Every time I phone their call centre same result. Indian staff who simply don't understand, raise it with their supervisor who is supposed to call back but never has

I've spent many many hours trying to talk to them. The error is all of their doing. What can I do?

Write; set out how much you want refunding and give them 14 days. (Get proof of postage). If they don't pay then send a letter before action; and if that fails, issue a court claim.

Worth trying, but it makes no sense to go further than a LBA as chances to win in a court are very slim IMHO.

Ask them if you can switch from PAYG to pay monthly and take your credit with you. If this is possible, switch to 1-month contract and cancel it in a month. If the account is in credit, a refund will be due.
