I have a DD set up for the minimum just in case I forget to pay it. It says on he statement we will collect xx amount on xx day. I pay the full amount via debit card that cancels out the DD at that point.0 -

Every credit card I have and have had do that on their statement too. It's normal to inform you of the minimum payment and when it's due.
If payment by direct debit is not confirmed on the statement then you should pay by other means until you see it on a statement. That's if you want to avoid a no payment / late payment / over-limit fee and the possible effect on your credit history.0 -
I have now made full payment (full balance) for this month, does this mean no interest will be needed to pay?0

Yes, assuming all your spend was normal purchases and not cash, and payment was made by the due date.0
