Audi A3 Trip Computer
Although my mileage and petrol etc are ok on the digital display as well as speed, my average speed and fuel consumption are way out. I drove down the motorway for half an hour as well as some 10 miles of A road driving and my average speed stated 24 mph and fuel consumption was slightly higher. Considering my Diesel Audi 1.6 should average out almost 60 mpg, I'm confused. If I take it to Audi, I'm sure I'll have a hefty bill. Any ideas?

Is this a car you've just bought?
Over how many miles was this average speed and mpg?
When did you last zero the computer?0 -
Any ideas?

I bought it last week 2nd hand. I Zero'd it today and tried it again. My average speed was 21 mph coming home from work and my average mpg was about 45. The travel from work was about 8 miles of which just over 6 is national speed limit. There was no hold up in traffic.0

I downsized from a 1.9tdi and so the display is the same, it's just the numbers don't add up. As I'm not technically minded I was wondering if it might be something to do with the ECU????0

One the top right of the display you will see a little 1 or 2
Number one is your average MPG/Speed in you current trip (Since the last time you started the engine)
Number 2 is the MPG/Speed over a much longer period, something like three months
You can move between 1 or 2 screens using either a button on the wiper stalk or a OK button if you have controls on the steering wheel
You can reset each one individually0
