WBAC probably expect to make £500+VAT on the sale at auction, so theres £5,500 hammer price.
£2,500 markup would sound about right.
Having said that, check the car against what other dealers are asking for the same car, NOT against what you "think" the dealer might have paid.0 -
If you buy the car for £8k and then the next day take it to any dealer as part ex, I bet you will get roughly £4900 part ex value for it.
Dealer profit !
Put the car details into this http://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-valuation
Do a valuation for buying and a valuation for selling0 -
Try using Glass and also Whatcar (you can adjust the mileage).
Warning about Whatcar, they will contact you by phone, unrecognised number, I don't answer, search it, block it.
We Buy Any Car, they buy it off you cheap to sell it more for profit.0 -

Why not offer the dealer £4900 and use a screen shot of WBAC as proof that they are over the top with their price......0 -

When you do your food shopping do you offer them what they get it from the suppliers for?
What about when you get your fuel?
Of course you don't so as someone above said, they wouldn't care and any clown who came in and did this is just a chancer who isn't worth getting involved with0 -
I think maybe, just *maybe* bigjl was having a laugh.0
