  • Hi there I to got a letter from moorcroft demanding and threatening me for wait for it 6 pence yes it's un real the amount of money on stamps must have cost more I could not believe that they are willing to take me to court for 6 pence so I stuck 6 pennies onto their letter and wrote in bright red " are you for real" .
This company is a joke I got this after many letters and phone calls telling them I am not the person they are looking for but they do not give up. I hope you get it sorted. Xxxx

    an update:
i had contacted Orange and paid the dues to Orange (did not wanted to deal with Moorcroft as the only call i had with them was enough to never ever talk to them again),
good news is EE has agreed to remove my late payment marker, and they said it will be updated in the next 24 hours..

thanks for all the help guys
  • Hi everyone. First time on here!

I received the exact same letter as saferider on Tuesday of this week. I have no outstanding debts, no late payments, or anything like that. I checked my credit report and my credit score is 660, which it said was excellent. There are no late payment markers or black marks on my credit report - just a search from Moorcroft on 24th February. I am just worried about this, even though I have done nothing wrong, in case they do something that will jeopardise my good credit rating. I have been in contact with any company that I have used in the last few years: Virgin Media, T-Mobile/EE, Barclaycard, even Lloyds Bank, who told me my account was so old they didn't even have the sort code and account number on their system anymore!

My plan is to just ignore these guys but it is eating away at the back of my mind, so I would rather do something about it and have peace of mind. I don't want to call them, as every forum and blog that I read states, categorically, not to get in touch with them by phone.

    Any ideas?

Call them and find out what it is all about.
Whilst you most likely want to look into it ask them to send proof of the debt as you don't recognise it and this gives you some time to look into it from your end.
