Weds 10th Feb - What Small DFW things will you do today?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:money:

Morning all :hello:
Half way there, and half term creeps ever closer. I wish I could make my body feel less stressed than it does...
Fuzzy head (again). DH has had a restless night, which doesn't help.
Here's today's little list
check banking and PAD
full day of teaching
mark a set of books
do not stress out
meeting after work
make time for exercise
crochet
read Martin's email
get dh to do something
Think that will do for now - work seems all consuming at the moment... Have a good day out there everyone! Not giving up

Thanks for starting the thread Cat hope work isn't too stressful x
I just want to say I LOVED pancake day! We had cheese & ham savory pancakes for dinner - ham, cheese sauce and oh & I had peppers and mushrooms too - and then sweet pancakes for desert - I had lemon, sugar & ice cream and oh & dgd had golden syrup. They were delish and think they will become a staple as so quick and easy and enjoyed by everyone :j
Not sure what my small plans are for today as feeling rotten with a cold so may just relax for most of the day. Do need milk so was going to drive to SM and pick up top up shopping (so as to have NSDs later on in the week) but now not too sure.
Need to consider a job application and whether I would want the job if I was offered it. Closing date is tomorrow so if I do want it I need to complete it today as have dgd tomorrow. Decisions...
Hope everyone feels less grotty than me xDF as at 30/12/16

My list for today:
Working, hope commute is kind, soup to work
Salmon out of freezer for dinner, will make dhal when I get home
Check banking, update sheet
Check surveys, £co (may raise a case as 2 payments just seem to be stuck in the system, both for relatively large amounts)
Messaged someone about buying something I listed on selling page
Do some of my business work do night, talk to DH about doing something for me to help
Another trade coming today to give quote to compare with one yesterday
No heating on, not too cold at the moment
Having a day off washing - will put a cheap load on overnight tonight, I think weather might be set fair for tomorrow and I'll try and get it on the line
Think that's about all, have a good day everyone

Good morning all, been up nice and early as went to bed at 9.45pm last night so had a good sleep. Saw lady from downstairs who gave me evils as she passed me and then tried more intimidation standing outside our block talking to another mummy. Just breath, log and ignore. Ordered a rug for hallway and for kids bedroom to help soak up some of the noise so have that in my favour although could of done without the extra spend

Morning gang
Dawn - I'm so sorry to hear about your poor pup. Hope they recover well.
LegoMum - good luck with the 5.2 you sound very determined.
Determined - your pancake supper sounds lovely.
Make the change - good luck with your day. Just keep writing that log. If you can get any supporting evidence like a witness to anything do it. It really helps.
Everyone who needs one have a hug
Didn't have the best of nights. Kept feeling very cold and shivering and sweating. My system seemed to be working overtime as well. I think when I was in hospital I was so bunged up it made me I'll. Now it's going the other way. Sorry tmi. I feel weak again today but have been managing 3 meals a day plus drinks so it's annoying. Hopefully soon all the junk will be out of me and I can just start feeling well all the time.
A couple of people owe me money which is annoying. The last thing I feel like doing is knocking skulls at a time like this.
Anyway. MIL is here till the weekend. And our lovely friends have lent us their car just to help with school runs until then too. OH will have to go back to work next Monday as it will be 2 weeks by then and sympathy begins to run thin. In short I feel a bit under pressure to get well quick.
Have a good day all.
