This is sooooo, soooooo funny!
According to a programme I've just watched, this is Essex!
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Looks to me like some g1t's moved Borrowdale about 300 miles South-South-East.
That's not on, we want it back - and we want it back NOW :rotfl:
It was bad enough when some so-called artist nicked the top half inch of Scafell Pike and put it in his exhibition in London, but nicking an entire valley is definitely going too far.:rotfl:0 -
It's "Don't forget to tax the car" Day for those whose disc would've said 03-17.0

Well, you can't have it!
You've had it long enough!
You'll have to take the weather as well. That side valley heading left on the right-hand side leads to Seathwaite - the wettest inhabited place in England, receiving around 140 inches of rainfall each year. You still want it?:p:pDo we still get reminders, though? I think mine's due at the end of April, or is it May?0 -

Got a lettter from the water company yesterday - everyone is beign moved onto water metering. I think I mentioned on here that not being metered saves us about 600 quid a year.
Apparently we can choose to pay the old prices for two years after the switch but then it is no choice but metering. Apparently we can save water by bathing less often and not flushing the toilet - eugh.I think....0 -

A very quick shower like wot I have doesn't use much water, especially if you fit one of those aerating shower head thingies.
The not loo flushing is only for liquid waste......every second visit instead of every visit.
Or stick a couple of 'brick' things in the loo cistern.(I just lurve spiders!)

We've been metered since moving here. I don't know how much water you are using, but we only spend £20-22 per month on water, so spending £600 more sounds excessive. For us, that amount covers a shower each per day, flushing the toilet every go, probably 4-5 washloads per week and washing up by hand. We occasionally wash a car but don't use much water on the garden. Both of us are out of the house most of the day.
Do you have a swimming pool or something? I can't see any other reason your usage would be £600 higher than ours, even with two showers per day. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Same thing's happened here - meters were installed a few months ago but won't be switched on for 2 years, but if you opt to switch in the first year you get a discount.
Pyxis Was the programme The Last Kingdom? Perhaps Essex was ever so much bigger in those days.....0
