I have been watching it for the past two hours. I thought the song that came second should have won. The one that won was contemporary and not bad, just not to my taste (hot favourite though).

What an amazing show. It was everything that our song for Europe wasn't. The final was in the equivalent of the O2, all of the contestants were stage ready and had their acts set up for Eurovision. Then half of the voting was by international juries to make sure that they had the pulse of Europe right.

If Britain wants to win Eurovision, taking on the MF format would be a great start.

    Did you watch it CK?

The domestic staff just ventured out to Sainsbobs, quality purveyors of ready made pizzas .... whereupon, one of the foods I've been missing slid gently into the trolley :)

£2.20 for a 10" chilli beef pizza. Nom.

I paid £3.something for a pizza the other week in Tescos, which fed 4 on the first night, and 3 on the second.

That was very good value :)

I've only watched the last 10 minutes, as I've been desperately trying to get some paperwork done this week.

In Feb/March, we deal with the summer contracts, which unfortunately clashes with the NFs most years.

This, added to the additional paperwork that it brings, means that I don't really have a lot of time for anything :(

We're also in the process (for contracts from September) of bringing the event ticketing system back in-house, so this, whilst time consuming now, will make things a lot easier later on.

    I'm a tired bunny.
Been re-siliconing my bathroom. I had a first attempt a while ago which was terrible. I did a few things differently this time:
    * looked for recommendations for sealant rather that buying the cheapest B&Q sells (Dow Corning 785+ if you're interested; bought it from Screwfix... probably the shop I feel most out of place in!)
    * bought (and used :)) masking tape
    * filled the bath with water before starting
    * used washing up liquid/ water to wet my finger to smooth off the corners

I'd probably be a bit disappointed if I'd paid someone to deliver this quality work as its not exactly perfect, but I didn't so I'm quite pleased with myself :) A vast improvement on my previous effort!

The main thing about getting to the end, successfully, of things isn't that you only score an 8/10, but that you know how it all works and if you ever feel the desire to do it again, better, you know you can do that.

In our old house we had a bath with shower over for which the original patent seal failed after its 20 year life span after which neither I nor anyone else managed to stop it leaking however much sealent was used In the end we replaced the bath with a heavy gauge steel one that would not move/flex.

One of our new bathrooms has a walk in shower which is just a drain in part of the tiled floor (with a slight profile so that it is at the low point.). I am amazed that touch wood it seems to work, I can't think of anything that would be asking for trouble more....
    I think....
