I looked for a weather window. Today was supposed to be dry all day.
I checked the weather this morning, yes, no rain predicted.
I looked out of the window, sun rising.

I took my washing to the launderette, came home and pegged it out.

15 minutes later it's raining ... so in it all comes

30 minutes later it's stopped ... so out it all goes again.

    Sun came out ... hurrah,

Took my eye off the ball - just looked out and it's been peeing down again and my washing's sodden!

EDIT: And now the rain's tipping down!

I won't be wearing those jeans tomorrow then ....

Pastures Same here, I put some washing out and then we went out, and it stayed dry right until we headed back to the car park. Then the sun came out again, so I decided to leave it out - but it looked as if it was clouding over again, so I brought it indoors....and so far it hasn't rained again after all. Sigh.

My washing was pretty much dry. I had sleeping bags and dog beds out there. It's been a beautiful day, but I had to turn things a few times. We had a random heavy shower and it ended up as wet as it started! Brought it in and it's glorious again.

I'm tired. My last client is throwing is a party to say thank you - I need more energy right now. I'm thought stodgy carbs was a good choice of lunch as we'll be drinking from 5pm, but it's making me want to sleep right now!

No idea what to wear. I meant to pick up two dresses from M&S but will have to go enroute.

It rained about 5x today. Washing's 90% dry, so, later, I'll put it on the airer and put it in the hallway.

    PN Oh dear :(

Doozergirl What a nice thing for your client to do :) I hope one of the dresses was suitable. And that you managed to stay awake! I had a piece of cake after lunch yesterday and went out like a light.

Just suppose that someone had written on here about children playing in their street and how a driver didn't see them parking their car.... I might be inclined to think that this may be the spur required to keep them safe and off the street. Perhaps I'm just dreaming that;)

    A few options could be:
    1) gate it off so it is clear that there should be no access
    2) put up "no ball games" signs
    3) speak to the parents and explain that it is private property, the dangers and that their children should play elsewhere.
    4) speak to a local councillor see if they have any ideas. They tend to have small locality budgets of a couple of thousand pounds, so may be able to spend it to put some play equipment somewhere else less dangerous.
I think it is the case that none of the children live there, therefore there is no reason for them to be playing there. Is that correct?
