    Oooh it's a bit grim. WH was very wealthy and changed sides (religion) ... and questioned the local vicar about his God/position. Vicar (a violent man) had a scrap with WH and vicar pushed WH into a pond and threw his hat in too; then the Vicar gave WH a kicking. The vicar's mates then stabbed WH through the foot with a pitchfork so he couldn't go anywhere and they dragged WH off to the pub until an officer could take him to jail. He was eventually beheaded, as was his son at a later date.

    Crikey! What documents of 1520 give you that much detail?

    Pushed WH into pond?
    Stabbed WH with a pitchfork?

    It's better than the Daily Mail!:rotfl:
