    Perhaps he means to level?

I suspected that he meant "raized" - amazing how just one letter change can completely reverse a meaning ;)

Except that, as I belatedly remembered, "razed" doesn't actually contain a letter "i" :embarasse

Fascinating stuff on the One Show...

Why don't woodpeckers suffer head trauma from incessant pecking? They drum 17 x per second.

Their brain is more tightly packed in their skull.
They have microscopic spongy bones in the skull to soften the impact.
They have a long bone that is an extension of its tongue that acts like a seat belt to restrain the brain.

    Brilliant!

A seat belt for the brain! :T

I think some humans need a strait-jacket for their brains! :D

Whereas my brain needs the neurological equivalent of a hot tub!
    Followed by a massage.
Followed by a cocoon of angora wool.

A recipe in the Sheringham rag that's been submitted by a local hotel. The ingredients include 20 eggs, 2.25 Kgs of sugar ... Very practical!
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Brownies. Presumably, enough for a hotelful of people.

    Brownies.

With that quantity I'd have thought it'd at least be Girl Guides, if not Rangers.
