Discussions are not allowed on this site, you should know that, You state what you believe to be true and then swallow everything that the experts on here tell you why you are wrong. Give it a go, you could also answer / ask as "Hotel Mike";)pappa_golf wrote: »on this site or is it discussable

well the situation is like this
wife came home with a 500g portable drive that a woman at the gym had handed to her , she had deleted the full contents (wedding/holiday etc) photos + a lot of letters
she said that she had been quoted many hundreds of £ for recovery
I ran recuva on it and recovered over 20,000 photos plus files , I backed them up to my nas , then separated them and copied them back in directories
I tried to ring her but had wrong number , so went to her works and dropped it off , jokingly saying 10p per photo , 20p for a MOV file and 7p for a MP3 , her husband the boss came over and was impressed , and opened his wallet . I said give me £20 for my time.
2 hrs later I got a call from him , he owns a vinyl cutting company (A boards and signs) and explained that one customer sends him files from signlab and other proggys from a mac and one of the blokes has to take them home (he has a mac) and convert them
he has asked me if I can convert a machine to mac , I have a nice budget to play with and can supply my parts if needed.
so a: its to get knowledge , and b: make a few bob .Save a Rachael
