Online Estate Agents - Who is best

They are all money grabbing so and so's. Im no expert but it is my belief and of other that getting it advertised on right move is the main thing. In Scotland i had to pay for a home report (paid at completion), this gives you an idea of what your house is worth. You need to do your own research too, i guess if you have a certain type of property then the high street guys come in useful. I had no money to put up front, i got lots of quotes by email, then got 3 out, then i got one of the better ones to price match the cheapest one, i got a great deal given the circumstances.0

They emailed me the name and contact number of the guy who is supposed to be coming round, me being me, I googled his name and number and he appears to be some sort of professional freelance photographer. That's great in a way as the photos will be good but what does a pro photographer know about valuations, property descriptions, floor plans, etc?!
Apart from the fees, online agents don't appear to be any more better or honest than high street agents.
Well I've used both recently and I found housenetwork far more efficient than the high street ones I dealt with, eg consistantly reminding viewers of appointments and gaining feedback as its very process driven rather than the local high street mob who were content to sit on their backsides.Spelling courtesy of the whims of auto correct...
Pet Peeves.... queues, vain people and hypocrites ..not necessarily in that order.0 -
Housesimple say they advertise your property on 500+ sites, other than RM, Zoopla, PrimeLocation (which is just Zoopla), who are these other 497 sites?0
-
Loads of other sites just hijack info from rightmove etc. The 497 really don't matter.
I sold ours with house simple, very easy, although their buyer interface isn't great (for booking viewings etc, some of our viewers found it a bit confusing and they need to be comfy using the internet, forms and so on.
The photographer they used was very good (central scotland).0
